You need to keep in mind that everything Emilia says to Subaru usually fall on deaf ears, nor is Emilia able to criticize him despite how far we are in the series. Emilia can asspull something despite how her character currently is but its up to Subaru who needs to actually open up in order to Zero Kara him in any way. Its more realistic for Beatrice to do such a thing than Emilia as Subaru at least entrusts his life to Beatrice but not Emilia. Emilia doesn't care to citizens him unless sje feeks warranted. Subaru has done anything big since they're spat in Arc that needed it. So this just sound like flimsy excuses that don't hold up in the narrative.

Nothing that Subaru has done to Emilia has been met with criticizm she even praises him for it. With Emilia saying that the spat in arc 3 wasnt his fault. As well as Subaru being largely the same and even becoming worse with Emilia's influence considering how he was like after the arguement and thier make up in arc 3 with Otto and Rem having to pick up the peices to notice how bad he fucked up.
