Anyone else watching this fujo shit or is it just me?
Fuck you for ruining the weekly thread, tob/a/cco anon is much better
I share your feelings. I think I like it because it's kinda like the ginger anime of the season, it's a palette cleanser. The story beats are slow and presented in a non dramatic way, dialog isn't made out of people yelling at each other, the visuals are pretty nice but in a simple kind of way etc.
It's just nice.
Why all the butthurt?
Not everybody who points out that you are stupid feels pained by your stupidity.
I'm not the OP tho and you are still sperging out without reason friend.
Okay, how likely is the following theory:
Nobody ever seriously intended a coud d'´etat. But the people that feared it would happen ended up creating rumors about it. Then these rumors solidified due to people being unsure which side to stand on. And this in turn lead / will lead to the coup d'´etat.
i've thought this is the truth from the beginning. however [spoilers/] the fact that otus is the true heir to the throne negates this theory entirely. the coup rumors were definitely started by camera camera guy.
That's also possible. But Otus being the true heir is somewhat a matter of opinion. They are - in the eyes of the state - not related to the king in any way. Proving otherwise or gaining the traction to not have to prove it would be extremely hard.
Everything is just so goofy, almost like a parody of some foreign film or something. Ridiculous character design with those mustaches. Characters who are unable to express any emotion whatsoever. A plot that makes no sense. Cigarettes are illegal and the guy in charge of cracking down on them smokes like a chimney.
To be honest, I wasn't paying too much attention with all the laughing me and my buddy were doing.
Yeah I feel the same, don't know why everyone is getting so triggered over it. It's like the same retards that get triggered over the term shounen shit or harem shit.
No, fujoshit does not mean gay.
Fujoshi watch shows like Free! as well. Fujoshit is a meaningless term that could be used to describe any show with 2 guys interacting. Calling a show fujoshit is akin to describing any SOL with 2 or more girls as yuri bait, and it gets you the same response.
Maybe because it's shitposting? They call it fujoshit to bait responses and then post "fuck off fujoshit". It's pointless and retarded, if you don't like it go away and if you do talk about the actual show.
This show is so comfy. I like the soft art and colors, the groovy and laidback soundtrack. The plot is not mindblowing or anything but not boring either. I like the slow pacing, reminds me of older shows and movies. But then again, I like those kind of older shows.
I don't understand the obsession that this series has with bread, it's just bread. Even sliced bread is treated like its a gift from the gods
Even the kingdom itself is weird, because you got one part of it that might as well be any modern nation yet at the same time another part of it that's still the 18th century and while that is going on the kingdom also has a land of Giants inside it. As if that wasn't enough you also got Switzerland and Hawaii inside the kingdom as well. It just doesn't make sense
I fucking love bread.
Where I live here in Yurop, we eat bread with every meal, my brother even eats it next to potatoes and stuff.
I haven't gotten around to watching it, but the amount of threads and the general opinion people have of it really reminds me of Ristorante Paradiso
which isn't too surprising I guess seeing as how Natsume Ono wrote both of them
Climate wise Japan is exactly like that. Cool to cold weather in Hokkaido up to fucking I-can't-sleep-in-this-humid-hot bullshit tropical weather down in Okinawa.
Okinawa is nice with all the laid back people, coral reefs n shit, but the humidity, man, the humidity.
Feels like it would be much more long-term though you know?
It would still be a start though, and it's probably easier to get on with life if you're doing well. Healthy mind in a healthy body, while not a rule does make sense.
>almost like a parody of some foreign film or something
Actually that's a good comparision?
Do you just not have the patience for french film or something?
>Characters who are unable to express any emotion whatsoever
it's a tad more subtle than what you're used to in anime.
>A plot that makes no sense
you have no idea what the plot even is by episode 3.
>Cigarettes are illegal and the guy in charge of cracking down on them smokes like a chimney.
They're ridiculously expensive, that's all.
It's like china with their luxury cigarettes, basically.
Any anime that attracts fujos is fujoshit. Natsume Ono has done BL before and it's clear that she designed the characters to be appealing to fujos and shippers. No amount of "cute girls" changes the fact that this is fujoshit.
How? I don't see any fujo pandering on this show.
Somehow I find this show interesting. Maybe because its a palate cleanser with all the cute stuff I've been watching lately.
I bet Jean's little sister has eaten a Lotta breads.
Someone is gonna explain this fujoshit meme to me. It's fujoshit because Nino is hired to stalk the would-be prince? I don't know of any other male relationships in this series because everyone else is lusting after Jean's sister.
He knew about the situation you baka.
fuck, why does indian man have so much power over albino native american man
>can't spoiler myself with mango, because can't speak moon
fucking hell waiting another week
>literally the princess guard who looked over them his whole life
>probably has a fucking gps tracker implanted in her asshole
Before Lillium said something about how it's okay to have pride in something as long as it isn't excessive. Was he only pretending? It seems like he's more obsessed with Acca than anybody.
>fishing rod and shark's fin is the part of the official uniform.
>Is just the ordinary baker at the grocery store okay?
It depends on what you are looking for.
Any baker can sell full-grain bread (if the customers are into that sort of thing). But almost no baker would sell organic bread anymore.
Most of them buy ready-made dough.
baking bread is super easy
flour, about half as much water, some yeast, wait a few hours, bake until done.
it's just about done if poke with a piece of wood and nothing sticks to it when you pull it out
All the language in the show is Japanese written in roman characters, peshi is probably how the nips write it in katakana.
Supermarket bread is a scam, they get in frozen dough and simply heat it
Not only is it easy, it's fucking cheap and takes only a bit of knowhow and trial and error to get really fucking good at it.
With just water, salt, yeast and flour you've got everything you'll ever need to make delicious healthy and cheap bread for yourself, and you can make it all on a sunday and eat it through the week if you're a wageslave.
Then you can get into more complicated techniques such as fermenting overnight or fridge fermentation, harvesting wild yeast from your local area for some sourdough, autolyse and oven humidification for increased puffiness and a more pleasant crust, scoring your own bread with a razor blade.
There is nothing more pleasant than removing the towel from the top of a bowl of fermenting bread and taking a deep whiff off the yeasty fruity smell it gives off.
I wonder if assassination attempts are commonplace there, they were so nonchalant about the entire thing the whole time. There was more sense of urgency when Jean got caught up in that district riot.
Finished off some more of the districts from last week. Hopefully we get to see some more of Yakkara cause it's looking pretty lonely there.
I'm not unfortunately, but he was certainly an inspiration to us all.
I hear publix is good compared to other stores like winn dixie and target so just feel free to ask what they've got for artisan bread.
I still recommend you try making it yourself sometime, if only to appreciate the work that goes into making a good loaf of bread.
Thought Grossular was the second princess's ex-guard.
Theory 2 :
Lilium will take control of the coup d'état and impose his imperialism like Bonaparte did.
Theory 2 :
Jean will never fuck Mauve.
mangafriends have informed us that
the 2nd princess' guard is the chief of Inspection Department- the long white hair is a misdirection, he cut it and dyed it. And I 100% think Lilium is going to take Otus' place at the end of the plan
Subtle outfit guys.
>Please don't break the windows
>The wind will get in
What the fuck kind of reaction was this to someone trying to break into your home?
Travel to France or find a french bakery.
Sorry I'm tired.
I laughed so much this is a wonderful answer anon.
But wrong, this is all the wine and beer we drink which make some of us fat.
Purely retarded, that's for sure.
>all this smug
I don't think I could handle to sit in the same table as the 5 chiefs.
Lotta is the purest and idealist girl of this show, don't bully her.
It's one of my favorite shows this season and I'm a goddamn yurifag. Picked it up late though and because the cover images reminded me of 17 Moments of Spring.
Shame the other chiefs don't get much time to shine. The old guy and the guy with the glasses look pretty cool. That one blonde guy from that isolated district is a complete faggot though.
They faked her death so she will not spread independence ideas and discover the world by herself.
I think the king is the mastermind from all of this. He wanted her child will be acknowledge of plebs problems and solve it when she will be queen.
But she died so they put Jean into inspection department for him to travel and discover the world and his problems.
>inb4 counter example it was Grossular who put Jean where he's.
So at the meeting with the author, 5 chiefs ages were hinted.
Spade is around 65
Grossular and Pastis are over 50 and pretty much the same age
Lilium is also over 50 but younger than them
Pain is in his 40ties
>all of them are good looking old fuck gentlemans
Finding this information required digging through twitter accounts full of rampant fujo fantasies
Was Mauve's age ever revealed? If I had to guess, I'd say she was in her late 30s at least.
I say she's in her mid thirties, but yeah, I can see her in her late 30s early 40s.
Daily reminder this high school student is twenty-six years old.
I think the prequel is about the moustache blond guy. Maybe there will be chapters about the other chiefs too, just like Gente was about the characters from Ristorante Paradiso who never got the spotlight.
Oh, I wasn't disagreeing that it's strange, just commenting that it's a general weirdness. I wonder if it's some kind of genetic modification type shit in-universe, or if the character designs just came out looking younger than intended.
I'd say the anime was more homo than manga
Most of all there was no focus on letting go of the hair, which was pretty homo, also no alcohol spilling
Actually after watching the scene it's still pretty homo. I'd say manga Lilium is less aggressive though.
The anime designs are certainly an improvement.
>manga Lilium is less aggressive though.
Yeah he was actually pretty scary. I can see why Grossular was so intimidated by him. Maybe they wanted to make that more clear in the anime?
Anime designs make them look more their age, but I really dig how Ono draws old men, I only wish that Lilium would be wearing his glasses more often
>Though I think there are some OVAs planned.
That's nice to hear.
I mean, if it's going to be eaten with anything. Bread is good as is.
Why is Jean so cute? No wonder the pink haired girl has a crush on him.
Lady and Old Man anime when? Futagashira anime when? Not simple movie when?
It's probably an anime thing, Natsume Ono's designs always look quite old
As soon as I get a job and can buy some stuff, I'm gonna start making bread. I tried once several years ago and it wasn't any good. Just a big lump on a pan, pretty dense.
I love sandwiches, so making my own bread seems natural. Shoulda done this sooner.
>A 25-year-old passing for a 16-year-old is more than possible around here.
Unless you live in Japan, Korea or China I'm calling bullshit. Unless you got god tier genes it's highly improbable for a 26 years old to pass as a high school kid.
>Large government agency comes to power in wartime
>Peace brings into question how much the agency is needed
>Next in line royal is a vocal opponent of agency and will undoubtedly dissolve it completely
>Big wigs at the agency want to hold on to power
>Stage a coup to install an agency-loyal descendant of abdicated branch of the royal family to the throne
How did they fuck up such an interesting plot? I think this was a little too ambitious for a manga author to handle.
You are describing a lot of people. My only downfall is the black under my eyes, but I had this as a teenager too. People still often require an ID from me about age restricted things (like certain payments). Most people around me, just to not say all, should be able to do it with an easy too.
I said "more than possible."
I hated Rail at first, but he's really grown on me.
I mostly like him for his fuck ups.
>Is it an unfamiliar experience, having people respond to you?
In honor of this anon, and as thanks for making me laugh, I'll allow myself some vintage shitposting just this once, under spoilers.
>ACCA is not even portrayed as bad and inefficient
Not saying they are, just too powerful maybe. They're basically a police force with a lot of autonomy, hence why you could imagine the monarch wanting to reign them in. None of this is made very clear as far as I can tell, but maybe I missed something.
I wonder how the story would have gone if ACCA was a religious organization.
The main point of the coup is that the next prince is a childish, narcissist, retard nobody wants in the throne. So ACCA is really the only alternative. And like the other anon said, they're pretty damn good at their job (unless you live in Suitsu), so there's no reason for the people to fear they'll abuse their power or make things worse.
Yeah but that seems kind of dumb. Most of the public wouldn't be aware of how the prince acts and there'd be a lot of misinformation going both ways. Unless he actually got to throne and tried to do some shit it's hard to believe that the public would be so for a coup unless there is absolutely no respect for the rule of law or the monarchy in this country which doesn't seem to be the case.
>tfw people have said I looked thirty years old at the age of fifteen.
>tfw nobody has ever asked to see my ID
I envy you americans, you look so young even in your thirties. The life of a wrinkly prune is all that awaits me past thirty five.
>Most of the public wouldn't be aware of how the prince acts
>literally went in live tv to say he's disbanding acca once he's in throne
Keep in mind everything ACCA is responsible for and what has it achieved over the years. I'll link to this post to remind you of a few stuff >>154316949. Nothing dumb about it.
>I envy you americans, you look so young even in your thirties
I can assure you this is absolutely not the case. Majority of burgers peak in their mid 20s, and for females it's even earlier. Those who continue to look young past their thirties are those who have great genetics, and/or take care of what they eat while staying physically active.
Well I work for a religious organization as an interpreter for missionary groups so most of the americans I meet are that sort of straight edge teetotalers who think the body is a temple, that may affected my experiences somewhat.
Still, it's irking to have people five years older than myself referring to me as sir.
I'll cease blogposting, please forgive my faggotry.
That's the thing, anon, there's no clear villain. The Prince is a retard, yes, but he doesn't mean bad and ACCA legitimately want to ensure the country's safety.
Thought that might change if Lilium was pretending all along and planned to put himself in power by using a figurehead (Jean).
I don't think you were ever supposed to feel tense from that. The way they handle the movements and the way lotta made window comments along the way, the way blonde dude fucked up his getaway and the police schirked their duty reporting to the break in so they could chase after a fugitive.
All of it seemed pretty clearly to indicate that the scene was less than serious. It would've been a major jump the shark moment if they had actually killed her.
Except that Lillium doesn't seem to be the type to not know that Jean is more than smart, independent and well-connected enough to be a figurehead. He's probably just trying to put himself in a position of power-behind-the-throne, rather than being the de facto shadow ruler.
>I definitely was not on the edge of my seat this episode wondering if Lotta was going to be assassinated.
& that, is why I like it, and consider this my second favorite anime of the season. It's a political slice of life anime, it's not too avant garde, not to simple and morose, it's just right, like a fine piece of delicious sandwich bread, it gives you a nice pleasant plot and leaves you with a nice warm fuzzy feeling inside after finishing each episode.
I agree with you that there could've been several ways to go about it, but the entire scene advanced the plot significantly in a few important areas and also in a few not so important ways.
Mauve now knows that the royalty are aware of otus and lotta being royalty
kachou is fucking awesome and a badass.
Lotte and blonde dude had their relationship advance just a bit.
I'm sure there were other plot details I missed, but that's all I can remember this instant from what happened during and after the kidnapping scene.
>He's probably just trying to put himself in a position of power-behind-the-throne, rather than being the de facto shadow ruler.
Yeah, this is what I wanted to say actually, the other 3 wouldn't let him take all the cake for himself anyway.
Take any 20-something year old, put foundation and concealer on them to hide signs of aging, change clothing style and body language to match desired age, and yes, most young adults could pass as teenagers.
Now if you wanted to pass as, lets say a middle school kid, then yeah, that's harder to believe, but a 15-18 year old, arguably doable.
>Grossular x Brown Chief would work super well, really.
>If I was a fujo I'd be all over it.
>>If I was a fujo
I'm looking forward to Akiba's Trip myself.
>he was certainly an inspiration to us all
Well, thank you anon.
I lost most of those due to the damn HD exploding. (I did make some Phantom World ones which I never got around to post).
Like grimgar I'm enjoying the hell out of ACCA's aesthetics, and the bread of course.
I'd say if you enjoy ACCA give it a try, not the average isekai by a long shot. Slow burner.
The art was definitely one of the things I liked the most of it.
By the way, he looks like the king in the OP
Same. I was only planning to watch the first episode because based on this poster, I assumed it was going to be edgy Nazishit. The poster doesn't convey the atmosphere of the show at all.
Anon...think back to the first episode. Two ACCA agents in the middle of literal nowhere were busted for smuggling cigarettes and it was a huge deal. That's such a tiny thing, but it still got attention because nothing else is happening. It was made very clear that ACCA is good.
The only noticeable ones that I see, working off of last week's episode while I wait for Kaitou-Glue, are that the transition after the Acca trio eating cake is different, there are more raindrops when Nino shows up in the shadow puppet sequence at the end, and that end shadow puppet sequence is zoomed out more.
It's portraying a world whose culture does not resort to violence, and it's done so smoothly and believably that I can say confidently there isn't anything else quite like it. If you want 'teeth' go watch any other political drama in existence.
I'm in love with Mauve.
>I also really like the OP even though anything with rap in it is dead to me usually.
r u me
No, but for real, the rap as usual is lame but the way the phrasing is resolved in the melody is sexy as fuck.
Woah lil nigga suddenly turned evil
I blame this part. I thought Nino looked really cool and mysterious and the way the music is just made me always look forward to that part. So when it changed a little bit I noticed right away.
I like how bored this people look even when they are about to be assassinated
Then you need to get some better taste and watch some good anime instead of marathoning Yuri On Ice for the dozenth time.
I mean this nigga doesn't gives a shit if he's getting killed. He already went to Lotte's apartment and now shares a secret with her, this nigga won and he knows it.
I want to put a bun in Lotta's oven.
>not watching fujoshit for the girls
When will she come back?
I feel like I need to watch the earlier episodes again, why does the rumor of the coup d'etat even exist? Is it to solidify ACCA's power because they think they're not needed as much nowadays?
Anime makes everything looks so tasty.
People who obviously didn't lurk enough shouldn't be posting here either.
yfw bout to buy this cube pan from moonland to make the mugi shokupan
why did japan put dylan roof in a nazi uniform and call it an anime?
>I have pretended to be mentally retarded for twenty years
Because it's about time the king dies and his succesor is not only not a direct son, but also a massive faggot. Also, because Grossular spreads the rumor that there is another -older and less of a faggot- male in the royal succesion line buried in the ACCA machine.
Guys what's her name
also why do I find her lack of a face sexually attractive
Because she's probably hiding even cuter eyes than Lotta under that hair, totally ruining her overall hardass look
Rail is cute.
Must be nice to have a secured life working for ACCA.
>tfw the train station staff asks if you want a children's ticket
>children's tickets are for under 16s
I didn't take note of what was different, but I did notice. On the first ep I felt the OP was somehow lacking in motion and thought maybe these stills are yet to be animated, then it picked up and worked better.
>almost like a parody of some foreign film or something.
What could give you that impression?
