Select moments are very good in it (Bakugou's saving from slug monster, Deku destroying the robot, All might vs. Noumu) and in general for VA and OST it's quality work, but the pacing is pretty bad, not One piece bad, but they do 1.6 chapter per episode on average.

Well, nah, just kidding, course it ain't Mineta, but he is actually the only other character I've seen with a kanji that can be read phonetically as "Jitsu." Problem with him is that the pun doesn't work - the "ジツ" reading of "実" doesn't connect in any way to the other kanji

Basically, I suspect the pun is that "ジッ", a spelling of the kanji for "10", can be read phonetically as "ジツ" - since while "ジッ" is a Sokuon, Sokuons don't double up the constenant sound in one circumstance - when the next character is "ch."

And of course the character who has a kanji with a connecting, sensical reading of ""ジツ" also has a name that goes out of its way to be annoying with the "ch" sound.

And ka becomes ga when you put those " above the kana, which happens often when two words are put together to act as one and the k- word is the second one.

And, er, to elaborate - when I started this autism quest I compared the readings of 十 to the readings of every other character in the manga - I'm not kidding when I say on an individual kanji basis the only two who come close to their alternate kanji readings resembling 十 are Mineta and Ochako. Now normally you wouldn't make much of Mineta and Ochako having "ジツ" as a reading for one of their kanji(and with Mineta it stays that way), because "ジツ" ain't "ジッ" since "ッ" would just mean "double the next constanent," but not only does Uraraka have a compound kanji reading which involves the use of "ジツ" straight up with an alternate reading of her first kanji (麗日 to make reijitsu), but if you WERE to have a "ジッ" in Ochako's name, it would be pronounced the same way as "ジツ" because of the "Ch!"

It's a pun based on not a grammatical rule, but an exception to the rule. The small tsu making a "T" sound instead of doubling when running into "Ch"

FIRST OF ALL: The standard word for 10 in Japanese is じゅう. That in itself gives us Juuzou Honenuki and Juurouta Shishida, who are two class B kids. (Also Juubei Namimaru from Illegals, but he's not canon, obviously). And then there's the Ten in Tenya if you wanna get fancy and use English words.

Second, I'm not even sure why you're using "Jitsu" for this search. The small tsu is there to modify what coming after it to make a harder sound. For example: 十冊 (10 books) is read as "Jissatsu". You said

Look, I'll cut ya off there, the premise I'm operating on is that since Deku and AM's number puns are based on an alternate reading of their kanji, then the 10 we're looking for can be arrived at with an alternate reading of Kanji present.

It's Deku's pun especially that's interesting, since you sort of do that here but with a bit of a caveat.

Deku's "ク" you get from looking at the alternate reading of 九 and 久.

With Toga, you can't arrive at an alternate reading of her kanji that matches up with a number kanji. Reading just one of her kanjis wouldn't give you the same phonetics as "十" like Deku''s "九 and 久."

But with "日" and "十", you get "jitsu" and "ji-tsu" - and in the context of "麗日お茶子", the two are interchangable and pronouned the same.

I know you're claiming that the reading of "十" is "Ji-" - but that's not it. The on reading of "十" is "ジッ" - the distinction may seem moot but it's not.

Wrote this weird and I think I had a brain fart. Nana is the standard 7, and shichi is the time 7. Kyuu is the standard 9. Ku is the time 9. Hachi is the standard 8, and also the time 8. Ya is used in "yattsu", which is 8 small objects.

The takeaway her, though, is that Nana is the standard reading, so not all the OfA users use alternate readings in their names.

And then boom, you've just ruined the future hero career of the #1 hero's son. And dealt a fatal blow to the reputation of the #1 hero himself.

Seriously, Deku or Ochaco get framed? They've got no real fame outside the sports festival and will just be seen as bad eggs that somehow got into U.A.?

But Todoroki? What do you think would happen if Shoto Todoroki, the #1 hero's prized heir and likely the strongest kid in his grade across Japan, was labeled a criminal? Can you imagine the media fallout? What about everyone ELSE's reactions?

As for the fight: One thing I really like about Horikoshi is that while we don't see too much, it's obvious that he's thinking a lot about the MHA world and how it works. Even without the worldbuilding, it still manages to be well-grounded. Things happen for reasons and actions have consequences.

Compare to Black Clover, where nothing has any impact because Tabata just throws "important" villain after villain while barely scratching beneath the surface. Which is just retarded and the editors really need to stop pushing it.

At least in MHA, we can look at the fallout of both All Might and AfO being out of the picture. This big fish are out of the pond, but that's letting a bunch of new up and coming villains crop up, which can allow for more conflict (if not as dire as the threat of OfA).

AND we can watch as Deku has to wade through increasingly grey morality. Stain was an obvious bad guy and he was clearly in the right to save Iida. Same with Kouta. Same with Kacchan.

But now a scared little girl ran into him and Overhaul's right there. Does Deku try and take her to the police? Does he try and rescue her some other way? Does he let Overhaul take her since Japanese CPS isn't a thing? Who knows.

It's an observation. We haven't been given any reason yet.

If I remember right, we've only seen one teacher over the age of 40 (two if All Might's that old - we still don't know his age yet). You'd think heroes in their 30s would still be kicking it in the streets (especially since Endeavor's 45 and still going strong).

Like the school would be one part x-mansion one part justice league school and they would be on some unilaterally protected island and have one of the top heroes from around the world teaching the top quirk users/heroic potential students.

But it just seems like a fairly well funded japanese military school who's alumni are just really powerful japanese heroes and...the world doesn't really exist outside of that.

I really think they should have done something like sidekick stuff early in the series. Maybe had a few big events like some team of international quirk heros vs some super villain with the power to control ice fight and nearly wipe out a small country and the other heroes have to swoop in and deal with low level ice golems, foot soldiers and save people.

It's nice to see so many...riveting...school matches..and unplanned visits from the bad guys during class field trips...
But an actual honest to goodness emergency that has them being brought in? Yeah.
