KyoAni is a fantastic studio and I'm super impressed with it as a Cool fan. They managed to flourish the iyashikei aspect and heartwarming messages, which is the part that no one should've had any doubts about.

What's impressive to me is that they've toned down Cool's fetishy stuff without dulling it. It's still there, but it's not super offensive. So I think they managed to capture a broader audience than the manga was capable of, without sacrificing what makes it a Cool work in the first place.
