Some of Mine Yoshizaki's doujin work involved drawing random videogame mascots as girls. After becoming a professional manga artist, he drew the Angel XX collection (Eva's angels as girls) and Otomedius.

Even recently, on his twitter, he also has drawn random stuff like Majora's Mask as a girl and Shin Godzilla as a girl (this last one specifically in Kemono Friends' style).

It was actually kind of weird that he avoided that all along with Keroro (and it still hasn't happened in the manga proper) considering many of his other workds and how many chapters of the Keroro manga involved transformation abilities or weapons.

If anything, unpopular series tend to have a lot more porn than safe images. The imouto from One Room for example, her pixiv tag has 4 images, and 2 of them are lewd (tiny sample set I know, but it's still 50% of the total).
Compare that to Kemono Friends where only about 5% of the total images is NSFW, now that's a huge sign that it went mainstream. The fact that sorting images related to the series by popularity results in so much porn only proves that a great part of the people who like it also like porn of it.

What I've noticed is that the amount of R-18 images has been increasing at a much slower pace than the amount of images in total. About two weeks ago, around 10% of them were R-18.
What I can get out of this situation is that people want to draw safe pictures (yeah including Emperor pushing her leotard up her cloaca, as long as it doesn't get too puffy) more often than straight up porn, but people like the porn more than the safe images. I honestly found it kind of boring. I can't put my finger on why exactly, and I'm not sure why I like KF when I couldn't get into Etotama.

Might be because it spent too much time on the plot and the combat, neither of which I cared for. KF has a plot that's more interesting to me and they're exploring it in a smarter way. KF is also an adventure story and it made me realize its actually been a really long time since I followed one of those. I miss it, and I find it a lot more compelling the standard SoL framework most anime is built on.

To put it simply, the more episode you've seen, the more weight your score gets comparatively to others. So shows that are long, are sequels or that people tend to drop early on will have a very inflated score.
If you want a rating more representative of the userbase's opinion you'd have to calculate yourself the arithmetic mean, I never cared enough to do that, but it would be very easy to do.

There's a graph of the scores under the "statistics" section. I did it for Kemono Friends out of curiosity and there's only a 0.04 point discrepancy with the weighed score, but it's most likely because the show is still airing, it will get larger after it finishes.
I tried it with Flip Flappers and there was a 0.5 point discrepancy, Tesabu was even worse with 1.04 point. What's weird is that the weighed score was inferior to the arithmetic mean, while I expected the opposite. Anyway, my point is that those scores don't mean shit even as an indicator of mal opinion.
