I watched most of anime from the 60s 70s and 80s, since I am Italian and during the 80s we got basically every anime made in Japan during those years. Most of them were great stories for kids, teenagers, and families, with great plots and very nice art. Not pornographic shit like today (95% of modern anime). The market is deeply changed.

Only very few of the 60s, 70s and 80s anime got dubbed though, if you think you watched them all, you're wrong, they were fucking tons of shit show for very few good ones, basically just like right now.

Are you Italian? Are you born in the 70s/80s? Dear anon, in Italy during the late 70s and the 80s we got dubbed most of Japanese animation produced in the 60s 70s 80s. And I can tell you that most of these anime were very nice works.

Ashita no Joe and Lupin the Third were the best early 70s shows.

But I wouldn't say it was the best. Of course, one of the best ones. But there were so many masterpieces that you can't say easily which was the best. Probably my personal favorite is Mirai shōnen Konan. Simply perfect.
