the drop in quality from volume 9 to last order was insane, if kishiro never got ill and ended it who knows how good the series could have gotten, the quality was basically increasing exponentially with each volume in the original series

It hasn't ended (at least I hope not) but Tsubasa World Chronicle is on hiatus for now and it makes me depressed every time I think about it. I came into the Tsubasa *Reservoir* Chronicle fandom when I was only 10 and I'm 24 now. I waited so fucking long for a sequel, praying, hoping it'd happen, and it did and it's great but can it please continue, CLAMP? Please don't leave me hanging forever. Not anymore. But worst of all, there's no continueation of Crows / Worst. Just give me one a few years later again, I know it would be the same arcs over and over but with new characters, but honestly I don't care. The setting is way too much fun.

The end was terrible because it felt like he learned absolutely nothing and that the rest of the manga didn't matter. It was a giant fuck you to anybody who read all of it. He didn't have to become mc mcbadass but some progress and resolution for the future would have been nice. It's even worse when you consider that he does become boss in the future. The ending should have at least pointed in that direction

Anyway, it's pretty weird. The plot was supposed to be centered on Oga, Beel/Hilda/the big bad demons and the fights, but the ones everyone read the story for were Furuichi, EN/pillar squad and the comedy.

That said, I believe introducing the 7 deadly sins and the King Crest were good ideas, but the author completely fucked up by introducing them with the atrocious 3 beasts/kings arc. By the point it happened the Ishiyama conquest setting just wasn't working anymore, he should have just taken the great cast from it and put them in more situations outside the school, rather than suddenly every delinquent having demons because powercreep.

There was a shounen manga maybe 2 or 3 years back about samurai that I actually really enjoyed. It wasn't very long. Think it had a time-skip maybe halfway through. it needed another few years to actually wrap things up decently. Give all the masters conclusive final 1v1 fights against the masters of Yomi, don't rush shit and pull out stupid reveals like "Miu's dad was never evil" and do something worthwhile with the weapons division.

Also, give me a goddamn timeskip ending where it does the introduction to the masters of Ryozanpaku like always, but end with an adult Kenichi - a master-class in his own right, but still acts like their disciple. Thus making him literally "history's strongest disciple".

Kenichi's final arc got obviously rushed, though to be fair it included stupid plot decisions that weren't the product of rushing. It was just a terrible finale for a 12-year series that (for me at least) had remained consistently entertaining.
