It's been ages since I've watched it, but if I remember correctly it was more of a pseudo-ending as the light novel series it's based hasn't ended (I'm not sure about this). But the character development and arc it ends on is wrapped up nicely enough that I thought it didn't matter.

The anime series ends properly.

The novels continue even now, so obviously there is lot more stories/arcs, but the arcs told in the anime were completed in the anime.

Nope. over half of them are garbage.
My main problem with Isekai is that it is tacky and it killed the fantasy genre. It's hard to find a normal fantasy anime, that does not pader to weebs by making the mc a teenager from our world and by making the ''new world'' run on video game logic/tropes. What is the obsession with the hero from our world? Is it because the guy can offer modern and snarky commentary on the video game tropes? Or is it beause it is easier to self insert into a loser from our world, than a native fantasy character? You could cut out the first episode of most isekai's (Especially the part about the mc being from our world) and it would be slightly better, with nothing of value being lost (except a few otaku jokes).

That is why im complaining about isekai. It manged to single handedly ruin fantasy genre, while being pandering as all hell. Also, the isekai genre is a visible sign of the deterioration of anime in general and the lack of balls to take risks and make good stuff.

Yeah, and as a result she had a bitter and trashy personalty that wasn't intersting and she basically tried to kill everyone.

The fault wasn't with her but rather the anime because I don't feel it did a good job with the proceedings. And almost every scene with her was either being brutalized or getting hammy moral lectures about how she's wrong. She had potential but the show didn't have tight enough execution to have a satisfying follow through. Again the problem here is a technical one of not being done all that well, and it was compounded by him being very annoying, and just not very interesting.

He spared a lot of soldiers and gear, even if he couldn't bring the full scale mobile death fortress he could have brought the plans to a resource rich area and conquered it and built a new one with the planes. The fact that they stayed in that shit future never really added up for me, as a result it undermined the drama.

We are entretained by different things then. Now and then it's a cathartic story, it's not about adventure but about tragedy and sorrow because, sadly, most of those things exist even in our world: rape victims, soldier children. If you only want and series to make you happy or make you feel thrilled, yes, this it's not for you, it's a pretty grotesque show.

Because she felt in debt with the people that helped her and she probably didn't want to face her family since she was complete different person after all she lived plus her child from an unknow soldier.

Catharsis is about purging emotions with an empathetic response to some art form. I was unable to experience that as I was to frustrated with the characters and the hamhandedness of the story I was unable to properly invest in it. I had no problems with the subject matter they chose, however I hated how ineptly they managed to execute it.

As well entertainment, for me, can and usually does include some form of catharsis. This failed to do anything for me but frustrate me.

Most of them, no all of them. They should flood the anime medium and infest it completely like they did with the LNs. Though it might already be starting with Knights and Magic and a few more being announced.

When people speak of anime they should assosiate it with isekai and narou immediately. Every single anime should always have either reincarnation or transportation to another world regardless of genre, like we usually see in these isekai titles. Anything not having them should flop and not get any recognition.
After the isekaification is complete we will have a perfect community free of stain unlike todays and a glorious medium with a bright future.
