While the conclusion is correct, there are some points that should be edited. Your argument about straight males going for the vag falls apart slightly when you take into account the fact that there are people who prefer anal to the other hole.
Your argument about the "being revealed to be a trap" and focusing on them being a boy part of liking traps could be one of 2 things. It could be those who actually prefer men over females, or it could be an appreciation of the gap moe caused by it. Lets consider a situation where I am looking at hentai. If I choose one where a male has sex with a female, this is universally considered acceptable and straight. However, there is still a male in the pairing making it 50% homo. Therefor I consider this to be the threshold of what can be considered straight. Yuri is 0% home and Yaoi is 100% gay. However, there many cases in between, which is where traps and futa come in. By pairing a trap or futa with a female it allows me to remove the masculine presence and and drops the homo rating down to only 25%. You bring up some points, some good ones, and I'll be the first to admit that I personally am no connoisseur to human sexuality, but that logic does suffer a few fallacies too.

First, you assume watching straight porn is 50% gay due to the male aspect, but you don't take into consideration that it is made for you to self-insert. If you pretend you are engaging the female with no thought to the male, it is 100% hetero.

I will concede that yuri is boring, and also that self insert isn't for everyone, however in that case you wouldn't really want to see porn of your waifu or whoever has your momentary desire at all.

Also the very act of inserting a trap into a doujin typically makes the doujin centered around this character being male, having a penis, yet getting treated like a girl, which is, regrettably, on the wild mango side of things.

While the "I like to self insert into men" assumption does carry some value, it can not be applied to the generalized theory of the gayness of traps. It brings in to much weight on the preferences of the viewer when we are looking for an rigid gayness criteria that can be universally applied. This would be equivalent to me saying that I simply see traps as cute girls and it doesn't matter that other only like them for their penis. I'm sure you can agree that this type reasoning that is not grounded in absolutes is unacceptable.
