(Volume 5, contains this chapter)
There is also a French release, but seemingly no German release yet.
>tfw your life literally will end if you don't suck a tit
Kenzaki's sheer competency makes me smile.
That is one hell of an entrance. But will she regenerate from that.
Like a boss
Thanks again for the dump.
I actually made changes to the names to correspond to the earlier translated chapters (as well as fixed some minor typos) in the Google docs.
Not a huge deal if it's not fixed though I guess.
>But will she regenerate from that.
She'll be fine.
2nd bubble font size / centering.
Missing comma panel 3 1st bubble.
panel 3 2nd bubble: comma then ellipses...? Pick one, not both.
last bubble's "about" seems unnecessary and sounds odd.
last panel: "get" to the main topic?
2ND PANEl - *slide*
panel 4 1st bubble:
panel 5 - You need to choose the right PAWN to be the substitute.
2nd panel's left border got cleaned off.
I guess your sense of stakes gets warped if you live too long.
You also have to care for every fuckwit who got tricked into loving some agent of theirs.
The recruitment pool is quasi-limited to those people.
You also don't have state-level power to fuck with your enemies.
>How does aging even work in this world.
For "normal" people they age like normal but die in their 60s. We don't know what other differences the "artificial" immortals that are created by mama have but their healing factor isn't as instantaneous as the "normal" crowd.
Also to clarify, by differences I mean we don't know if Mama's immortality prolongs lives. The impression I got here is that she's lived so long that she's grown apathetic towards a lot of things. Whereas natural immortals cap out at a certain age.
Goose (Was her name longer?)
Jawbreaker (Ago-san? Bird too?)
Wind Chime https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wind_chime
Bitter Orange https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitter_orange ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trifoliate_orange )
Holly Olive https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osmanthus_heterophyllus
Are there other code names I have missed?
Baccano style is all your cells recombine into a healthy body. Such as your blood and detached limbs coming back to your body. The people in the weird world just spontaneously regenerate all their missing parts. In fact, their entire body returns to a healthy state, which is why they treat colds by killing themselves.
>People from our world respawn Baccano style.
no they dont, Baccano style all the blood and piece return to you...eventually.. somehow. Hounds human to immortal all your blood and stuff still lays around. you just regenerate slowly
In fact, checking over it again, it's the normal immortals who resurrect Baccano style, since it's directly stated all their various bits flash back to the body. It just doesn't look like Baccano style.
Ok, that makes more sense, been a while. I remember there also being questions about the point of guns which is a valid observation in this world because you would think weapons would have progressed down other paths if subjugation would be more useful than just killing.
>look like you're going to be the generic MC
>lol no enjoy being the pathetic punching bag mate
Feeling kinda bad for Kouda. Except Kenzaki is 10/10 MC material, so it's for the best.
My only experience with Vertical is of their releases of Sidonia, before I stopped buying (around volume 5 or 6 I recall) as it turned to shit. They were alright, much better than some.
>Kenzaki's sheer competency makes me smile.
Probably my favourite thing about this manga. He's competent, intilligent, badass and not an edgelord or highschool kid. Any manga with an MC like that is worth looking through at least.
Pretty sure they mentioned elsewhere that suicide by gun was a common thing. Like Kenazki's sister's boyfriend was said to make up excuses when he got burned at work and didn't take the offer of being shot etc
>Pretty sure they mentioned elsewhere that suicide by gun was a common thing
I dont mean that is not common. but if let say gun laws apply, its easier to get the suicide pills than a gun
It might just be convenience too. It's easier to just take a pill than have to use and maintain a gun and ammunition. Guess it's like, store bought and homemade chicken soup? A gun is loud too, though I don't know how to work that into a food metaphor.
This story is weird.
>But are there french translations for doujins and vns and shit?
From what I've seen we just steal these from english sites if at all.
And you're better off than us in this case, official translation is still at volume 2 (vol 3 coming out this year).
From this page it looks like using a gun isn't that common. I don't understand if he's implying Kenzaki is old-fashioned or trying to be badass, by shooting himself.
>Osprey -> Egret : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egret
Why isn't Osprey Osprey? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osprey
Pic attached has been translated. See https://docs.google.com/document/d/1mbhDKPVjeyHs6dTOMqgJb1yEKpaavY85RXc7BMkY1s8/edit?usp=sharing
>Why waste a perfectly good parfait?
This fucking guy.
Great chapter, thanks for the dump.
Did I get the transliteration right?
Nigashiya (Google translate gives me peel for the hiragana alone. Ignore this.)
Kazama Rin ("Wind chime" 風鈴（ふうりん) is probably in the flavor text.)
Kiriko (I can see how they arrived at facet. Perhaps something with cod roe " 明太子などの製造過程で、鱈子の一部が傷ついてしまったもの及びそれを明太子として漬けた物。切子、切り子。切れ子。 " or the cutting aspect?)
Karigane (Anser erythropus, Google translate of Wikipedia page yields wild goose; this label applies to all non-domesticated goose; The species is "Lesser white-fronted goose")
Karatachi (Japanese Bitter Orange) | Sayori (Halfbeak, Hyporhamphus Sajori)
Hiiraki (Holly Orange) | Misako (Osprey:Misago; Egret:Shirasagi; Backwards check)
Last released vol Nov 2016 is 5. This volume will be released on July 11 2017 by Viz.
There is probably a chapter in there because the Author is listed, but I have no idea which one.
Yes, anything we can't get legally is usually available in english
I'll trust you on this, but you guy best us on LN at least. We got a maximum of 15 titles released in France
