when does this start getting good?
>>
When you get some taste.
>>
>>153729889
Elaborate
>>
>>153730164
Your taste is shit. Are you pretending to be retarded?
>>
>>153730436
My taste is shit because...?
>>
No half naked little girls, so /a/ will hate it
>>
>>153730549
It's already good.
>>
>>153729760
>watch ACCA, can't make it through 1st episode
1 week later
>"But it gets much better, anon!"
>finish first episode, slog through second one
>give up again
1 week later
>"But it gets better, anon!"
>Try to watch 3rd episode, still a trial, no desire to finish

I understand you, OP. It just wasn't my thing.
>>
>>153730897
Oh. Seems kinda boring. I'm 4 episodes in and I think I might drop it.
>>
I'm gonna wait till it's all out, but I enjoyed the first episode.
>>
>>153729760
It's slow as fuck. The fanbase is similar to the Rakugo crowd thinking it's some type of 'refined' anime for good tasting people. But it's just kind of stale, though not completely terrible; so I'll still watch it.
>>
It's a show for stupid people that want to feel smart
>>
>>153729760
If you don't like it don't watch it.

Personally I enjoyed the dialogue, characters, and story surrounding it since episode one. I only think its gotten better.

Again, you don't have to like anything.
>>
>>153731998
I'm trying to like it, dumbass
>>
>>153732534
That's where you fucked up idiot.

Trying to like something makes no sense at all. If you don't enjoy it initially what point is there forcing yourself to continue watching i hopes it will get better for you? Why not go watch something on your back log instead of acting like a misguided sheep watching seasonal shit?
>>
>>153732888
>what are bad first impressions?

You have a very retarded way of thinking, you know that?
>>
>>153732888
You sound like one of those MALfags that reviews an anime based on the first episode
>>
>>153732888
>3 episode rule
>>
>>153733382
>What is following a crowd?

Asking the question "When does this get good" Implies you already watched the show and don't find anything particularly good about it. Its a common inane question to passively shit on the show while making some non conversational anecdotes about the quality of it.

Really, if you have to ask that question you should move on instead of being a faggot.
>>
>>153733599
No, some media (cartoons, games, books) just have slow starts. I can't expect an autistic person like yourself to understand that, though
>>
>>153733674
>Has no argument
>Goes to autism

I'd say you are far more autistic for not being able to answer when something that is half way through its season gets good.

If you found nothing good in 6 fucking episodes, what are doing?
>>
>>153734109
>No argument
>Reason is literally in the last post
Also
>implying
I haven't watched up to episode 6, dumbass. But your show is probably shit since you can't even explain why it's "good" without crapping your diaper
>>
ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept. is exactly the sort of stylish, smart programming that I associate with the very best of BBC drama--both the storytelling and the lead are reserved yet quietly, intensely engaging. Dowa is a kingdom run more like a corporation, with thirteen autonomous states ruled by a single monarch but actually managed through a civilian-controlled agency with quasi-governmental powers, ACCA. Charged with ferreting out corruption within their parent agency (which oversees, amongst other things, emergency services), inspectors comb through records in search of anomalies, mistakes, or falsification. Jean Otus, our protagonist, is the second-in-command of ACCA's Inspection Department, and it is a real treat to watch him navigate dangerous political waters while still fulfilling his duties. He might seem absent-minded with personal matters, but he's got a keen eye for detail and sharp business savvy--imagine a younger, cleaned-up Columbo (wow, really dated myself!). Anyway, I'll have the last laugh when Helen Mirren turns up in a guest role. . .it's that sharp, that good!
>>
ACCA have slow pace, it cannot be helped.
But there are beautifully drawn food, good character design, fashionable, interesting world setting, overall this show is pretty comfy.
I think the whole kuudeta thing is just to keep the wheel turning or maybe it doesn't matter at all.
>>
>>153734655
>comfy
Buzzword that needs to be abolished
>>
Combines the "country of the week" feel of Kino no Tabi with a well developed overarching plot focused on political intrigue. Also, the music is absolutely phenomenal. It may be a bit slow-paced for some folks, but your patience will absolutely pay off.
>>
>>153734245

So you started off the thread with a poor sentence and its my fault?

My whole point is to watch it and form your own opinions. Asking some shit like "when does this get good" is a inherently stupid question, even more so if you didn't watch it. Maybe you should have someone eat food for you too so they can tell you which bite the food tastes the most savory.

Fucking retard.

With its mature and realistic artsyle, political themes, suspenseful mystery, cunning protagonist, and a nostalgic atmosphere that somewhat strikes a balance between 1920's America and George Orwell's 1984, ACCA provides a breath fresh air that quells what can be described as a dry spell of underwhelming variety.

The anime covers topics regarding the ins and outs of geopolitics and relevant phenomenon such as peacekeeping and corruption. The plot is unfolded through the clandestine interactions between figureheads of political power, and this anime does a commendable job of utilizing its premise to deliver suspense to the viewer.

The protagonist, Jean Otus, is portrayed as mysterious, clever, cool-headed, and obscured. He gives off a James Bond vibe (without the guns and sex, of course). His motivations seem to be shrouded due to his personality, and as a result you're always wondering what he's going to pull of next.

Of course, I've only seen 3 episodes so 5 stars is out of the question. However, this anime has caught the attention of even a picky and niche viewer such as I, and highly look forward to it.

Also, did I mention that this anime has fantastic food porn?
>>
>>153734757
That... Is a fucking terrible analogy. Don't ever speak to me again unless it's to shine my boots
>>
>>153734677
Someone need to hug you, anon
>>
This is the story of a chain-smoking bureaucrat, whose division in the ACCA, the administrative controller of the provinces is being dissolved. He picks up some minor corruption in one of his offices and his division is given a reprieve. Really riveting plot, eh? You got it, it's boring. And, I don't know how anyone could like the main character. He's obsessive, needle-nosed dilatant, that is always smoking at a time that no one smokes because of the expense. I guess the Japanese think it's still cool to smoke ("Whimsically puffing his cigarettes", my ass). I do like the style of the drawing and the animation is good, that's the only reason I'd give it 2 stars. It's painfully obvious that "Jean the Cigarette Peddler" is being set up as a cool sleuth type of character. He, however, comes across as an officious, chain smoking bureaucrat, not cool at all. We'll see if the writers can rescue this one, so far I'd rather watch paint dry.
>>
Acca is really different from what you would expect on a season, but being something different doesn't mean it will be a Masterpiece, so if you are tired of the same generic garbage we get on a season, this show might be your best choice, I cannot guarantee that you will like this, but you know, sometimes something different is good pretty often
>>
>>153730928
>>"But it gets much better, anon!"
no one said that

>>153730996
>>153731215
>>153731920
>>153732534

since ep 1 we knew that this show will be a SOL with bureaucracy and a taint of politic drama. There was no drama nor heavy atmosphere.

This isn't a show for smart people, this is a show for chill people. This isn't going to get better, this is just a calm ride in a stright road, not a roller coaster.

You can enjoy this ride or fuck off already.
>>
>>153729760
it's a slow burn for sure but my favorite of the season now. I think I was convinced by the time I finished e03
>>
But it's already good, i like how the story is turning out and the characters interactions also the "comfy" atmosphere
>>
One of my favorite OP's of the season, that's for sure
>>
Redhead from episode 1 and christmas cake boss don't show up enough
