>tfw Danganronpa 3 will always exist
A friendly reminder that DR3 isn't canon
I certainly don't like all of what DR3 had to offer, but I liked enough of it that I don't mind its existence.
1 - it exists
2 - if doesn't give a shit about the canon
3 - as stated before, it straight up ignores DR2
4 - pure fanservice
5 - they tortured best girl
6 - juzoboys
7 - Junko turns into a one dimensional shit head (even more)
8 - "muh happy ending"
9 - Kirigiri lives
10 - the whole Monaka arc
>worst and most complex mastermind in the franchise
at least until V3
>reduces characters to mere caricatures of themselves
>retarded subplots that go nowhere and don't impact on the story at all
>completely takes away every interesting aspect junko ever had
>chuuni shonen shit every episode
>each episode ends on a contrived cliffhanger just to keep us coming back to eat more shit next week
>retroactively ruins every other entry in the franchise
THERE WAS NO ONE WHO COULD EVEN REMOTELY CONTROL OUR HERO JUZO
>Punched Naegi in order to defend his bro
>Knee'd the fuck out of Anxiety fag because he knew that he was the traitor all along
>Had a misunderstanding with the Gozuboys
>Saved Hinata from getting killed by HPA
>The master of chair throwing, that one miss on Kirigiri was because he was a merciful hero, and not just to flex his muscles and check dat ass (because he only want's Munakata's ass)
>Went full ham on the evil old man mastermind and crew to save the FF
>Roundhouse kicks the everlasting shit out of Monaca's puppet in order to stop the second coming of Junko Enoshima
>Unable to stop some mentally deranged kid from blowing up half the school because he was too busy being a hero
>Had a misunderstanding with the donut but spared her
>Survived 2 missile barrages by an evil robot bent on destroying all hope
>Called out Monokuma's bluff with his cameras, recording his mad-ass pecs and didn't give a fuck in general about any of these plebians
>Became the world champion in boxing, becoming the undisputed best with bare hand combat before even leaving high school
>Too Alpha to mess with the bitches and instead neglects his own feelings as being the third wheel to protect his love no matter what
>Only took a 2 episode rest before kicking the shin of everyone again
>Took a fucking spear to the shoulder, impaled into a wall and shrugged it off like it was just a mosquito bite
>Was not seduced by Ruruka's sweets because he was so loyal to Munakata
>Has enough consideration to the normies to use them as a coatrack
>Even at the world's end, he was still gunning for a piece
>Such a straight forwarded bro, he bends his own sexuality
>Saves the manlet when he's in need, cutting of his hand to be the savior he truely is! Saving everyone with the power of determination
>Single handedly stopped the killing game, physically and literally
J U Z O B O Y S
You forgot to mention that unnecessarily stupid scene where junko makes a class fall into despair and they all butcher each other with tsubasa wo kudasai playing in the background.
I'm not one to throw around the word "edgy" but these painful 3 minutes takes the whole cake.
The eyes. Holy shit those weird eyes made me laugh so much
The Despair Arc was really unecessary, and it made Junko look more like a victim of circumstance rather than the mastermind we thought she was, which ruined her character.
Still, the scenes with goofy Junko were okay.
Holy shit DR3 was dumb as fuck, and not even in a good way.
The only way I survived through that shit was posting on here. I hope DRV3 gets a terrible anime so we can do it again on a weekly basis.
What's wrong anon? Don't like FICTION?
>it took Izuru all of like two weeks between when they got out and start of hope arc to save the remnants' minds.
Anyway SDR2 was much more retarded to end with power of friendship undoing the lobotomy (but leaving the superpower parts)
I was never really a big fan of the whole "their all in VR induced coma" angle SDR2 went with, but it took until the end of 3 to take that to the shittiest possible conclusion.
>mastermind was some old motherfucker whose been dead for over half the series.
>they somehow made a worse protagonist than Naegi.
Is this kino?
What was worse? Introducing mind hack anime to absolve the DR2 cast of their crimes or in DRV3
revealing that everyone is actually fake and that their personalities, talents and personal history was just brainwashed into them when they participated in a reality tv show.
No, that's fucking brainwashing. Mindhaccing is mind controlling someone with your mind into doing something against they're will. Brainwashing is altering how the think using patterns and shit. One's controlling them. The others altering them.
Actually read a fucking book anon.
mindhacking is using your mind to control someone's mind and/or body.
Brainwashing is using patterns or other such methods to alter someone's mind into being willing to do nothing but what you tell them.
This really isn't difficult to understand.
>This really isn't difficult to understand.
What isn't difficult to understand is the severe case of autism you have. How far in the spectrum are you? To mind hack is to hack someone's mind, as simple as that, the applications and methods involved are irrelevant.
And you're in a thread about an anime series spawned from a video game. You're welcome to leave any time.
Naegi-kun please don't shout obscenities into the school's intercom system.
>this school was where the event that fucked over the entire world and got millions killed began.
>let's reopen it guys!
What the fuck is Naegi thinking?
It was all Junko's fault and now that she's dead, everything will be alright now.
I don't get why people are so obsessed over the how much of it was true thing, I thought the point of it was that even if it was all fake it doesn't cheapen anything
actually Mind Hack's primary function is literally mind-reading, controlling people was secondary
That doesn't matter; the damage is already done.
The average store that gets shot up tends to go out of business. Yeah the culprit is behind bars or dead, but people still aren't going to want to go there.
>From what i saw on DR2, think that Junko manipulated them slowly by getting into their lives and taking advantage of bad shit happening in it, like Fuyuhiko's sister dying to slowly manipulate each member of the class into doing shit for her, and making them used to it, or borderline thank her for the "guidance"
>After DR2 think keep thinking "i grew attached to a bunch of psychos who ruined the entire world, Junko did manipulate them, but i don't know if they really deserve forgiveness", adding a layer of morality to them finding a second chance
>LOL JUST KIDDING, THEY WERE ALL BRAINWASHED AND DID NOTHING WRONG! ALSO JUNK DIDN'T EVEN HAVE A PROPER PLAN AND RAN INTO BRAINWASHING BOY BY ACCIDENT
I will never forgive this.
>3's portrayal of the murder mystery doesn't include Saionji Mikan or Ibuki
I'm glad it happened. "Junko slowly manipulating them wouldn't have fit DanganRonpa at all.
>half decent writing wouldn't have fit Danganronpa at all.
Yeah you're right.
>game says thing happened
>anime says "yeah, but it actually happened this other way that's much easier to write"
>it's the anime's writing that doesn't fit
Actually thought Despair arc would be a series of mind breaking Class 77 but most of them did fucking nothing until the end.
The series is only good writing wise when it comes to crafting absurd mystery boxes. The actual plot is flimsy glue when taken as a whole. DR3 was mainly about that whole and they simply couldn't handle all the loose ends well.
My god, you people are literally so fucking stupid you can't see that DanganRonpa is a fucking parody. And no, Her "Slowly Manipulating them" wouldn't have fit Junko's character anyway. She's better off a liar.
I want to head-pat Monaca
The whole "It was just a prank bro" thing with Aoi is part of 10 right? Because that shit was absurb as well.
6 was the only good part of the show however. Well that and that 90% of the world got brainwashed anyways despite the good guys "winning"
Reminder Komaeda already made her into an adult
He couldn't make himself into an adult.
Can Japan actually do murder mystery right?
Or do I just have shit tastes
pic related, another disappointment
>I'm a nurse
>but I'm capable of doing literally everything a doctor of every health field can do and more
As a nurse, this triggers me, should've just called her Ultimate Doctor
PW has a lot of terrible cases too though, it mostly only hits a few homeruns by virtue of just how many times it goes up to bat
This, is hilarious how many plotholes they caused:
- who was Mikan´s lover, seriously she was the easiest to corrupt as she was being bullied. Her speech in her trial was heart-breaking "all of you make me this way" and the anime just retcoon it. BULLSHIT.
- Mahiru and Peko getting along after the friend murdering the sister and Peko murdering her friends, they are happy happy next episode making this shit useless.
- Junko don´t use the anime bullshit in any game, because her talent as the games suggest was to manipulate people´s mind.
- They retconed shit to make the aspect of the characters good, only the yakuza lost his eye and Nagito his hand.
Not to mention the old man in DR3 did the game for a shitty motive. Or using like 5 times the "omg that dr1 ccharacter died! kidding"
It doesn´t even make sense that Kirigiri didn´t warned about the monitors and instead she choose to "die"
Why was Fuyuhiko still in need of an eye-patch at the end anyway? He only sustained injury in the Neo World Program.
They didn't completely retcon the students taking parts of Junko I'm pretty sure. Fuyuhiko was shown with an eyepatch in episode 1 of Dangan3, Komaeda still replaced his hand, so he probably still pulled out his eye brainwashing or no.
That's because she ain't a fucking nurse. That's NISA's translation. In Japanese she's the Super High School Level Health Committee Member. I honestly don't know much about the medical profession, but I believe she would have a more general knowledge because of her title and it would be increased tenfold, with that being the reason she was admitted to Hope's Peak.
Nursing school and clinicals, everyone is still pretty innocent. It's only when they start really working and people get jaded as fuck, don't give a shit anymore, and the freaks start coming out
Guess that's better since it's a more broad title
>be near the bottom of the totem pole in hospitals
>literally having to clean people's shit
>get treated like shit by patients, family, and sometimes arrogant doctors
>hours can suck at time if stacked up
just really depends on what kind of people you really care for though. I work with baby's so shit's easy outside of the incessant crying, but I feel bad for nurses who work in the emergency department whose gotta deal and be prepared for literally anything, since sometime you might get a fucking humongous black guy who wants to beat the shit out of you because you stuck your finger up his butt checking for any blood due to internal damage
gee I wonder who could be behind this post
The threads and the memes made it worth it. I wouldn't mind having to go through it all again.
Except for the Mahiru cucks. Fuck those guys.
What was wrong with the Mahiru cuckery?
Not him but you sir are a fucking retard. Please kill yourself.
This, it was shit but still a good ride and that in and of itself is can be considered an indicator of quality. DR3 is the opposite of these boring ass stories you don't understand until the 11th episode and then there's a twist and everything makes sense and the rewatch value is so great it becomes a masterpiece.
Reminder we're getting a doujin with Chisa. But it's futa.
Chisa would have been intresting as the main villain - i know this may sound dumb but what if Chisa fell into despair at not only being forced to watch students committing suicide but also forced to watch as her students became Junko's tools and committing horrible acts murdering anyone they came across
Chisa's true motivation for doing all of this is revenge against Munakata/Tengen as she finds out that they have known about Junko all along and failed to prevent the Tragedy from happening.
The whole thing was extremely inconsequential. Anyone could've been a villain and it would be better. Even Zombie-Junko would be better than "Having a Killing Game to push the faggot to brainwash the entire world. Again"
But, but, it was to spread the gospel of Despair and take Munakata with her. Tengan was just an added bonus.
Chisa would've been a better mastermind. It'd make more sense for the plot too. Like, I remember them saying the game was designed to hurt Munakata as much as possible. And if you really wanted to add Class 77. It'd add the emotion the anime was trying to portray. They could mention Chiaki and then yeah.
Kodaka wasn't the writer for DR3, but the Scenario Supervisor. Norimitsu Kaiho was the writer, but everything he wrote probably needed Kodaka's approval.
The whole ending of DR3 with the Hope-side was so rushed that it didn't even show how much much of the world Ryota brainwashed again and how successful it was. And if he managed to erase all the bad memories, then what was the purpose for that Remnants video? To remember everyone about the shit they did?
>what was the purpose for that Remnants video? To remember everyone about the shit they did?
They were taking the blame for the Future Foundation fucking itself so that people wouldn't lose hope in the Future Foundation.
In my idea for Chisa being the mastermind she wasn't brainwashed - she simply fell into despair but unlike Junko does not like despair but simply uses despair against all those who have wronged her
But if Ryota's video erased everything of the Tragedy, then why would they take the blame for the FF if the world don't know about the FF anymore?
Fukawa had been brainwashed as well, right? What about Monaca? She's in space, for fuck's sake. Jesus, the more I think about it the worse it gets.
>But if Ryota's video erased everything of the Tragedy, then why would they take the blame for the FF if the world don't know about the FF anymore?
To be fair there's probably a couple people out there who weren't looking at screens at the time, like if they were asleep. So some people still know so they might as well cover their bases.
Not the hope brainwashing.
That was his little obedience video that makes people listen to him and it was shown to wear off without too much trouble.
The actual, legit, no going back Hope brainwashing never happened.
>DR1 was good, trials were fun even though the killer was obvious for each case,
>DR2 was damn near perfect and improved upon almost everything from DR1
>AE was a bad TPS starring the worse MC's sister (Thank god them thighs) and one of the worse survivors from DR1
>All of the side story/mangas are terrible too
>DR3 was terrible and raped an already shit story
>V3 is shaping up to be terrible
>Hope vs Despair in general is fucking stupid
How the hell did the series last this long when everything after DR2 has been terrible?
I deleted the anime off my hardrive so I can't double check but I distinctly remember the loading bar being how many places it had uploaded to, as it showed up in more places as it loaded rather than it just buffering.
I found funny how her class won´t even say good bye to her, they just go away happy wtf.
Literally every theory from 4chan would have been better:
1. Chisa being the mastermind.
2. Chisa was Junko, the Junko who died was Chisa.
3. Aoi was Chisa and replaced her.
4. Kirigiri has Junko in her brain.
I found it funny they didn't even feel sad at their teacher dying, hell they forgot about her. Like, you're together because she was the one who kept you together along with Chiaki. But you remember one but not the other.
Yeah it would have been dumb but atleast is better than the mastermind being Tengan as that was incredibly boring.
Also it still make no sense, Ryota could have been killed in the fucking game.
I don't know man, they are pretty fucking nice
What do you have against hopes and dreams anon
What you're remembering is the obedience video.
That played world wide and they showed it effecting various characters like Toko, Komaru and Monaca.
It didn't make them do anything or turn into a hope zombies though, it just held them in place for the main event, which was to be Ryota's hope brainwashing.
Ryota cancelled the upload before that video could be broadcast, though.
Not only that she was trapped by Junko because of her class, she went ahead alone to protect them and they don´t even say good bye to her.
Hell Ryota could have used the video to save her and the others.
I've always thought the "Chisa was Junko" to have that plot-twist feel the first 2 games had, even though the basis for it was a fucking dumb reach (the blackboard with the 3 Monokumas). It could've lead to an interesting situation, considering Junko would be working inside the FF since the start of the Tragedy.
Erasing despair wouldn't have really done anything to them either however as long as they were rooted in place to the tv, and Ryouta was talking about how far the video had spread as if it was much the same progress as the progress bar on his screen. It may well have been the obedience video but it really wasn't very obvious if it was and could have just as easily not been as he didn't specify which it was.
The whole finale was just rushed really.
They established at least Ryota is a fucking coward.
But hey at least Chisa got to have a nice moment with the fire extinguisher. She knew going down there would signal her doom.
>Hell Ryota could have used the video to save her and the others.
I didn't even think of this, that's hilarious. He had the means to stop the brainwashed people in despair but didn't, the madman.
Well, Mitarai was also mising.
I guess Alter Ego was barred from using non-despairs or ded people in the simulation.
Still, Chisa on a swimsuit.
It was probably Naegi who stopped Alter Ego from makin' Chisa's booty on DR2
>Well, Mitarai was also mising.
That makes sense though. They had nothing to do with him. Hell only Imposter and Mikan knew him.
>Still, Chisa on a swimsuit.
Good thing the animators drew it then.
Well, wouldn't they check records or something to see class 77th students or something?
I presume thats how they found about Chiaki.
Also, I am talking about a proper cutscene with her adult tiddies on screen, and one more thing, Chisa would be a good replacement for Usami, as her interaction with Nagito were kinda good.
I am now wishing Chisa was an AI
I don't think so honestly. They probably just got them and put them in with Usami and Chiaki.
>I presume thats how they found about Chiaki.
They had a bullshit reason for Chiaki even being in the NWP.
I just wish Chisa survived so she could've gotten cured of Despair.
I remember, Chisa destroyed the records about class 77th, so the world does not know them, including Chiaki and Mitarai.
Now how did they got Chiaki?
This would make a lot more sense if Chiaki was an robot made by Chihiro and Monaca.
Hell, if Chisa was an robot, she could be repaired, perhaps Munakata and Hajimeme could bond over their robotic waifus
Hajime didn't made the NWP, it was Chihiro, Miaya and Matsuda or some random FF goons who did it by checking some notes left behind by the trio, notes we never heard about it
Hajime knew Chisa. I mean she was the one who protected him from Juzo.
>Now how did they got Chiaki?
Hajime put her in the NWP for his own amusement. She was created from 77's memories.
Told you, it's a bullshit reason.
I tell you what Satan, Kodaka didn't plan ahead and its pulling retcons up the ass.
Chiaki would be a lot better as a robot, her stuttering and slowdown could be a result of the damage sustained on her execution
The only answer to that is "Danganronpa 3 was badly executed". The only way they could've made Chiaki a real person was to have her as a different character that had a better connection to the plot other than "she's the class representative".
Yeah, but the last robot was a piece of shit.
Well, some people made theories, as a lorefag, I wanted stuff to at least be coherent
You mean Miaya or Mechanidai?
Its all a matter of peformance, chiakibot at least gets a body to play vidya on their real world.
It was strange as hell.
I wanted resolution of the conflict they had with Hinata (that betrayal stuff when Hinata thought Hopeman was a nice guy but he turned out hopefreak. And when Komaeda thought that Hinata was talented and learned everyone were Despair) so I thought he would be in the reserved course with him since he hadn't any talent there.
Instead he was in the Hope Academy together with the talented class that didn't care about him, friends with the people that outright disliked him in the game. He was bashing on talents, because deep down he hated his luck circle, but somehow he still had to face bad luck without anything good coming from this and called that a happy life. I didn't understand anything.
While it was airing it was already spoilered that Junko is alive and mastermind but spoilers that it was actually her sister killed were much later so I thought it was a fake death long enough.
Threads were mostly waifufagging, bashing on anime's pace and spoilers for SDR2.
No please no. That'll make me mad.
It would make me mad to. I want something like a of a chisa manga/LN or something but Their ending all the HP spinoffs to focus on the V3 spin offs. Which is a good business move but they should take a page out of comics and let two Canons go on at the same time its not like the Hp stuff hurts the V3 stuff as its all fiction in the V3 verse anyways
Sorry and That would be a good story. It would probably be around the time Jin first became headmaster so their could be a subplot of that like Jin is kinda failing as headmaster (Family shit, tie in with DRK with the death of his or his wife's father's death) which inspires Munakata's dream of taking over Hp. Show Chisa working on her talent and with kids to forshadow her teaching role and what she does as a despair. Show Juzo wrestling with his feelings and for a bit of continuity show that the SHSL Rock climber that Lico almost killed in DRK came from the 74th class and was one of the trios classmates
I don't know how it would work with her having Chisa's role, but I just wanted some meaningful interaction between her and the people who worked on the NWP (both directly and supervising) so that we don't have the huge plot hole that she was created by the FF to be an observer, but she was also created by Kamukura to gamble against Junko.
I want to have sexual intercourse with Chisa
Easy mistake to make. They rook arike.
Not like the Chiaki AI was that similar to the real one, and her boyfriend even overwrote her existence in his mind with the evil copy. I think Chisa got a better deal than Chiaki, all things considered.
The problem was that real Chiaki was already a different character. In all honesty they should have just not included Chiaki in the first place, it created a whole mess of issues that killed DR for me forever after.
I believe the problem was not having Chiaki and AI Chiaki as different people, but both having similar personalities. Yeah, real Chiaki does not sleepwalk, but she acts mostly the same as her AI version and was almost a completely passive agent on Despair's plot, with her only real involvement being the search for Hinata and her execution.
The existence of her observer version doesn't make much sense. How and why did the people working on the NWP used her likeness for the observer? Was Chisa involved? Who knew about her other than those who worked with class 77-B? If she was created solely by Kamukura, then why the fuck no FF member on Jabberwock tried to do something after a unknown AI appeared out of nowhere on their simulation? She was present before Monokuma showed up.
It really feels like both Kaiho and Kodaka created the real one for fan-service sake, but were scared to not make her too different from the fake one because of possible fan backlash, which really sucks. Makes me wonder about what did they really wanted to do with DR3.
They're fairly different characters despite some similarities in personality, though. That's a problem if you're a fan of either character. On top of that, they turned the Chiaki AI into an evil identity thief which utterly destroyed her characterization in SDR2.
It's entry level Japanese murder mystery probably but Tokyo Zodiac Murders was pretty cool. Not /a/ though.
Subete no F ni Naru was a pretty solid murder mystery anime when it wasn't going on and on and on about teen angst existential crisis-type stuff.
Again not /a/, but Ace Attorney has about as many good murder mysteries as it does bad ones. All anyone online likes to talk about in regards to it are the final cases which usually are pretty weak murder mysteries though.
MC was not worse than DR1 Makoto at all.
The game was basically DR1 except good, it has a garbage ending but frankly that's par for the course in this franchise and you guys should be used to it by now.
I'm not really seeing how different they both are. AI was a little more proactive because of the trials and her job, but still similar enough to say that she was based on the real one.
Well, that being said, they should either make her a robot or not make her at all.
The differences could be explained as Chiaki being damaged, but nope, they pulled a double reverse bizarro pincchio
This guy gets it. Mikanfriends report in with qts and lewds
>people complain that DR takes it shit plot too seriously
>V3 makes fun of it's shit plot, people complain about that too
Maybe Kodaka needs a good Editor in tow or something?
Why the fuck would I? I don't really give a damn about DR anymore and don't feel like wasting my time on some moron trying to make a critique months later who doesn't pay attention to character aspects and thinks incredibly broadly to the point if a character looks -vaguely- similar to another, that's good enough. The mere fact that Chiakiposting has plummeted should speak for itself. Look in the archives; I'm not interested in dredging up old memories for a mouthbreather like you.
If you "don't really give a damn about DR anymore" then why are you so pissed about a opinion you find out to be wrong on a thread talking about DR? If you really don't care, don't you think you're over reacting? And I'm not making a critique, just discussing what I think were the problems with DR3.
>you will never be the meat in a Chisa burger
Well, with reboot, you can consider it as nonexistent.
I still liked it, despite a lot of inconsistencies.
Almost as inexistent as Saionji's chances to be free from the bullying, that is! That's why I want to bully Saionji so much. I want to scold her to tears and throw her into pool. I want to take her gummies and eat them in front of her. Then I'll force-feed her with lemon-flavored gummies, palm after palm. I want to call her a stinky and take her panties so she has to going commando for the rest of the trip. I want to mock her inability to put her kimono by herself, so I'll strip her every once in a while, yelling what one day, she'll be glad to be able to dress up herself. Also, I'll take her kitty hairpins, making her long blonde hair cover her private parts. And when I'll give kimono back to her, I'll make sure to put Mr. Ants in every single pleat and Mr. Crab in her panties.
And when finally she snaps and try to bully me by any means possible, I'll spank her in front of everyone until she'll like it. And when she'll come to me, begging for another spanking, I'll mock her again, then spank her as if my life depends on it, laughing on her moans full of pleasure. Mere seconds before her climax, I'll throw her into pool once again, leaving her in her aroused state.
Not gonna lie, lost track of what was going on with the final reveals because I stopped giving a shit after seeing how all the "killings" were being conducted. Had to read about it later.
Precious Precious Flower Saionji is Precious Precious Flower Saionji regardless how she look. She deserve a good punishment in any case or scenario!
She's too weak to do it on a fit of rage and too stupid to premeditate it, anon. Come on, now!
>These two had the same voice actress
We never got to her Chisa go Absolute madwoman https://youtu.be/qFgQTPSiI-8 [Embed]
I wouldn't have minded seeing more of their perverse relationship
>Chisa doing a nice pose in the concept art
Th-thanks Kodaka, for this art that never made it into the series. I'd love to have seen Chise do that pose.
the DR3 threads looked like more fun than anything else so I finished them in a couple months along with the anime, which by then had finished and I'd missed out on most of the fun..
>tfw we could've had her doing the "THAT'S WRONG" pose
DR3 game adaption with Class trials when?
Was there really a need for Danganronpa 3 to even exist (besides the dissemenation of memes)? I was fine with 2's "our battle continues" ending. The loose ends I also didn't mind filling in with my imagination. My headcanon ended up better across the board.
They probably made 3 so that people wouldn't question them about Hope's Peak-arc after they announced V3 wouldn't be a direct sequel. And with that they just raised even more questions.
Dunno about you guys. But I want an alternative version of DR3. Without Class 78 and with class trials.
Dunno who'd be the MC though. Probably Chisa, but then that'd just be SDR2 all over again.
Pretty much. They should've made it only the Future-arc, maybe with 24 episodes, and only have parts on the past with the FF characters, without telling how Junko started the Tragedy and how 77-B got on her side. That wouldn't make huge plot holes and would be a better ending. And also scrap the Hope episode. Fuck that pandering mess.
The Despair arc was there because they wanted to bolt a story onto the IP. They went to the start of the timeline and the end to insert a conflict that could then be resolved.
Just make it 'Killing Game 3 but this time it's personal', make Kirigiri do more after coming back than just be Naegi's happy ending and just give everything the proper room to breathe and you'd have a much better show already.
In a way, yes. It had the more interesting first couple of episodes. The beginning of Future was rather slow and gave too many episodes to the 76th class, but Despair got really retarded after Junko showed up and every episode was basically her giving exposition about how shit her plan was because the writers didn't know what to do. Both were bad, Despair went full shit first, Future was a little more consistent.
For me Despair was more fun because it was just character interactions at first, it was kinda fillery but it was amusing at least while Future was slow. Eventually Future got more interesting but in a bad way as I wanted to know what dumb shit they were going to pull next after Aoi and Monaca happened while Despair just got slowly worse, though it still had it's moments like Hopeman's got a gun. Despair dissapointed more since it had a stronger start but Future was still weaker overall and mostly only had memes going for it.
It was pretty bad overall. Started with Chisa being killed off first then just got worse and worse.
Had some highpoints. But like Muv Luv, do you really wanna wade through shit just to see something good?
I don't know too much about it, and the things that I know don't have too much impact because I can't really judge it without context (like the ending, for example). It's just that the first opinions I read about it were mixed so that makes me a little scared, but I probably should take it with a grain of salt.
Now that we can post again. I wanna remind you Chisa is so cool. I'd pay to see her go "DONG DON YALL ARE WRONG"
