Pretty obviously a troll PV, the stars on the border are just so over the top. In any case the character models/animation look awful. I can get over it if the rest of the show is good. About the point of the work, the producer said that this work is a world where the universe is bright and is a high risk high return world. I will bear in mind that it is a work that sticks pretty much as SF.

In fact, although some elements such as "Large doll robot for extreme environmental work" called "I machine" appears in the works, Mr. Okitsu sorry that "I can not talk about IDO" so. About the information seems to be handled quite strictly.

The dude doesn't like to repeat himself, so you have to live with that. You'll get enough Kimura designs later in the year or in 2018. The human characters in ID-0 are relatively vanilla in design. I don't see them as looking better or worse than average. By anime standards, they are fine. I like how the robots looked during the very brief scenes in the video that showed them.
