Attack on Titan aired almost four years ago, oldfag. It's getting some age on it. There will definitely be a demographic who tout it as a classic. There were 13 and 14 year olds in 2013 who were introduced to anime by it, and in 10 years they'll be nostalgic 27 and 28 year olds.

No it doesn't. ONE has no idea how to write a parody. There is no subversion, and no jokes based around cliche subversion. It just uses all the general tropes and cliches you associate with shounen as a genre and is self-aware of it. There is no attempt at comedy around it. They are far more interested in this unnecessary "serious" arc about a laughably cartoony evil association and the extremely predictable and cliche "brother has an inferiority complex" side plot. Again, there is no subversion of that trope either. It resolves exactly as you'd expect it to resolve. There is absolutely nothing to differentiate itself from the thousands of other times the "brother has an inferiority complex" trope has been done. The "I have extremely powerful abilities but am too afraid to use them because I'll hurt other people" trope has also been around since Superman, and there is no attempt at subverting it, since everything resolves exactly the same way it would in Superman. Mob's power essentially just devolves into friendship power. Let me ask you, have you heard this formula before: "MC encounters new powerful enemy, MC is defeated by powerful enemy. Something happens to MC's friends (like getting kidnapped) so MC goes to fight the enemy. MC gets angry when friends are hurt and unleashes a powerup to defeat powerful enemy. How is this subverted in Mob Psycho? It isn't. Afterwards Mob gives his power to Reigen, which is almost a subversion but happens after the trope already occurred and is completely irrelevant anyways, especially since it was an asspull to make you think Reigen died when he did not. There was one point early in the show where I had a lot of hope for it, and that was episode 2. The ending of episode 2 is easily the best part in the entire show since they actually subvert your expectations that Mob will join the psychic club are proven to be entirely wrong. They played with pretense and made a wrong turn which made it funny
