It's a little hard to chew at first, but it's an acquired taste for *some*. Try not to watch it for laughs - try to watch it for the show itself; almost as if it were a dramatic sitcom. It's an odd way of thinking about watching a comedy anime, but I believe it works for those who don't immediately get the show.
