Seems to me like it's just 2013, 2014, and 2015 he had poor chapter numbers, at under 40, that's been throwing him off. He's back up over 40 now.
It's fair to say he'll likely be up to 42 by next year, and One Piece honestly is only likely to last 5 more years (assuming oda doesn't finish it on issue 1000)
I mean, what else IS there? We're about to have our first yonkou fight, and it's pretty obvious that Doflamingo was the final Shichibukai fight. Hell, Jinbei is practically part of the crew.
At this point, it's pretty likely that Kaidoh will be the next Yonkou, unless he becomes a jobber to establish how strong Blackbeard's become.
Then who is left for them to fight? They're not going to fight the revolutionaries, in fact it's pretty obvious they'll become allies at some point. So just the government and Blackbeard.
How long will it take to write those stories? I'd say 8 max, but 5 is a more likely scenario.

Didn't the author of GeGeGe no Kitarou mention something about Tezuka and Ishinomori that they overworked themselves to death? He took it little slower and lived to 93.
