I'm not sure what kind of relevancy you're expecting. But for the most part, he's pretty central to Kurise's development, which is the girl I just posted, and his initial struggle with the goal of going to Nationals led to some development and conflict with Chika.

Focus is on the group as a whole, though. That said, the last few chapters were about Satowa and that resolved a pretty big conflict she had since the beginning of the series.

Been keeping an Eye out for Black Torch releases since I read the first chapter. It's a pretty strong start, i'm glad some more classic Shonen series are kicking off. I just hope it doesn't go too insane with the powerlevels like so many do.

This manga holds some promise and the art style is pretty good, plus the one-shot he wrote is quite good too. Admittedly for Black Torch, the thematic plot is pretty damn similar to Bleach, at least initially and at face value, but it'll be different in it's own way. Further, with a monthly release, the story won't be rushed so I see it going for at least 4-6 volumes before talks about axing or determining an ending comes about.
