Dude you have no idea how hyped I was for each episode since Yuto showed and the Obelisk force showing up and all the theories for the plot just fueled that. That went on for about 40 or so weeks and it's no wonder that I became obsessed arc-v.

I can feel your pain I started watching the show at around episode 72 (after marathoning all previous episodes) and I've been in these threads since episode 88. Fuck man, the hype was so real, and after marathoning Standard I thought this would be the best card game anime ever. It was funny how Yuzu (and Yugo at one point or another) made it a point to use the FC to warn Synchro of Academia and how they could level the entire city.

I'm really disappointed that they never bothered making Rituals relevant in any form, let alone a Ritual Dimension. At the end of the day, hate on them or not, Rituals are a unique summoning method (even if they aren't in the Extra Deck). Once upon a time, there was a girl in Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal. She fell in love with an idiot and bullied him during childhood and he accidentaly broke her heart, so to get revenge and force him to date her, she became a duelist and built a deck of Lvl 10 trains to summon rank 10 monsters and beat the crap out of him.

Zexal (the 4th series) made "creating cards out of nothing" an established thing for the main character. It was called "Shining Draw". Yuma would literally create a card out of nothing that has a specific effect that perfectly gets him out of the situation (sometimes, the card would be absolute shit unless it was used in that super specific situation he created it for).
