What did he show them?
He lives in a world that's designed to his liking and the students all live within a shared delusion, escaping reality.
Utena accepting she could not be a prince means she faced reality and left Akio's world, Anthy follows because Utena means more to her than Akio now.
Too much too good, can't pick.
Not to mention I've seen the early episodes more than the later ones, so I remember stuff like early duel songs much more vividly, which makes the comparison kinda unfair.
Why do people even remotely sympathise with Nanami?
She may have been the only one able to see through the charade at the end of it all, and she suffered a lot, but that still doesn't undo all the terrible things she did.
She murdered a kitten. Not to mention that she manipulated an elementary schooler in to being her errand boy by promising him her body.
Nanami is scum that deserved everything she got.
same reason people sympathize with team rocket
she was a cartoon villain and those can be endearing, likable characters (to some people). Also she dueled Utena the most times out of anyone despite not even having one iota of dueling skill so that's pretty neat.
What the fuck anon? She made the effort of correcting herself by the end of the show. Character development done right. She was truly one of the best girls'/and the most misunderstood girl by the end of the series.
>she dueled Utena the most times out of anyone.
I think these bumboys both duelled Utena more.
Nanami is fantasy, Koga was already dead so she had no reason to go to that school, that's why her episodes are bizarre and she only appears in the movie as a cameo with chuchu, an alien.
Tenchi Sozou Sunawachi Hikari
Just like the "Inside I'm hollow" repeating at the end, perfect build up for the 'miracle' at the end of the fight, and it suits us learning how much Juri has really been twisted by what Shiori did.
I watched this about a year ago and was confused as fuck. What was the point of it all?
Actually he was probably jealous of pic related.
Things in Utena are simultaneously literal and symbolic within the story, don't look for concrete explanations for things like that because they don't exist.
