Has the show gotten any better?

I passed out vomiting and crying when I tried watching the earlier stuff, and took that as a sign that I shouldn't keep watching

Also, after all these years no matter how hard I try I can't find Japanese Goku voice anything other than disgusting. I have the same problem with English Gohan voice though, scratchy breaking high-pitched screeching voices in general.

Akira Toriyama, under the constant stress of Toei Animation, suffered a heavy loss of testosterone during production and brought hidden homosexual desires to the surface.

Trapped in a corporate world that didn't appreciate the heart of his work- but the profit- Akira gave into despair and depravity.

This can be seen in the replacement of Vegeta, a prideful cartoonish manlet, with the homoerotic symbol of Frieza, a reptilian with purple cyst-like bulges, insect-like carapace & horns akin to the spike of a tape-worm(obvious penetration of the anus symbolism was most likely intentional) as the intended villain for the intended entirety of DBZ. Much like a corporate director himself, Lord Frieza exploits planets(artwork) for profit without regard to the heart(or the people) that made the planet great(popular/fun/adventurous).

While Goku, who at this point symbolizes the living work of the author, is recovering from the battle(truly an inner-battle of Akira's feelings) Vegeta soon becomes a symbol of the author's pride in his work and his rejection of the corporate monsters that constantly seek to take advantage of or change his work. The best examples of this are when Ginyu switches bodies with Goku, and when Vegeta confronts Frieza for the first time- showing that they are equally matched, only to discover that Frieza is just not a reflection of the corporate powers but his own latent homosexuality

It won't be til 20 or so years later when his testosterone drops, his sex drive recedes that he finally starts drawing sexless nu-male characters.
