Because is around the time the author got the notice that he's being axed for the Zexal manga so he had to wrap it up. I don't know what happened to him after that because someone else was writing the 5D's manga and Yoshida wrote the Zexal manga and is currently writing the Arc-V manga.

Zexal was godly popular including the manga, the real problem is the 5D's manga. It was boring as hell, the characters were even more dull than their anime counterparts, the cards were all bad,too and the story was far too focused on the author's original character Sect,rather than Yusei and finally, the gimmick of "Feel" made no sense whatsoever and seemed to only matter when the author said it mattered.

Dark Law is an effectless monster in the manga to begin with and Shadow Mist didn't have anything to do with Masked Heroes in it.

They will print the main deck ones and it's only a matter of time and which effect will be chosen to jam in it and make heroes meta again.
