It's a bit silly if you ask me since I'm sure a lot of people go to karaoke as well and it's much harder to catch people doing that if you aren't waiting outside just to see who leaves and sometimes it's even used as a substitute for a love hotel, so honestly an arcade doesn't seem that bad. Could also have been around times for exams which seems much more likely that a school would be stricter during those times than just a general rule.

Amagami has drama, but the way it flows and solved is way better than in Seiren(for Tsuneki's arc only). I think Toru's drama set up is pretty alright (tryharding game autism that alienates everybody) by giving hints every episode like the one where the guys talk how it's tiring to keep up with her. So solving it would pretty much seal the relationship and also makes the cute parts stand out more.
