Onething I liked about the VN so far, the bit where Kazusa was all serious about how she wouldn't let Haruki fuck up the Sound of Destiny solo under her tutelage and that she had faith in him, was REALLY touching.

If an adaptation can't give you a substantial glimpse of his character then he isn't worth shit in the first place. Shirou is from a shitty VN but you can determine how fucked up he is by the end of a cour. Sure it's not deep but it's not some empty slate who's only noteworthy characteristic is "I'm an indecisive guy who likes to nag at people because I'm a responsible former class rep" and ends there.

Man, thanks for recommending this one on the thread few weeks before this one. I thought WA2 was 24 episode (I wish) since I watched WA1 and I expect it to be such but too bad its not. Definitely want it to be one, just to see a different perspective of each character's thought.

Just a few minutes watching episode 1, I know that I'm in for a wild ride and the last one that I remember that gives me one is Kimi ga Nozomu Eien.

Since I watch WA1 despite it being a borefest, its a surprise how influential are the songs from there. Haruki playing White Album, Sound of Destiny and Powder Snow on guitar makes it all worth it watching WA1 at least. There is also the karaoke playing ガラスの華 and the karaoke showing other tracks of Rina's songs (theres even Red Orpheus that I didn't heard yet but I know its on the Sound Stage Drama CD)

After watching this, I know now why anons love it, as I can't speak for everyone, I think this is because how relationships are handled in this show, as the discussion here and the recent thread proves.

I like to think that Rina Ogata inadvertently brought all three characters of WA2 together 10 years in the making when she recorded herm usic (I guess Yuki too). Seeing as it was WA that got Haruki and Touma to sort of bond and it was Setsuna singing it that alerted HAruki to her talent.

So as garbage as WA1 is (Why not just focus on one route for the anime, I can't stand that boring Actress bitch and her cuck boyfriend) and how little it has to do with WA2, WA2 managed to connect to it in a neat way.

Depressing is pretty much WA2's mood. This song kinda defines Setsuna' love in that despite the repetitive betrayal ultimately she still loves him for who he is and is willing to forgive and move on. That's how people can see her as an angel.
Todokanai koi is more fitting as best song tho. The entire love triangle cluster fuck fits way too well.
