The moment we knew the match order we knew exactly what was going to happen through the entire tournament. It's a shame, there's a lot of really interesting ways they could've handled it, but they picked the blandest. It would've been way better if they switched Nonsugar with Dressing Pafe and Gaaromageddon with QPCosmic, that way we could've had the Garuru/Falulu showdown and had Solami Smile go through all the rival teams in order as a great way to cap off the series (although I suppose reverse order works fine too).

The animators were complaining about it on Twitter, even Ash's VA was complaining about it on Twitter. You could tell Ash was supposed to win this time but some exec came by and said NOPE.

That was the semifinals of Sinnoh, and while it was bullshit, it was less unsatisfying because Ash had just defeated his series-long rival for the first time in the previous match. The guy with legendaries came out of nowhere and it was presented as an unsormountable challenge but Ash at least went out with dignity and was the only opponent in the whole tournament to defeat not one, but two of his legendaries while everyone else couldn't get past just Darkrai.

XY&Z was insulting because Ash's only noteworthy victory in the league was against his understudy whom he had already won against three times and lost against once at a time he was unable to control Greninja's super form. His actual rival, with whom he faced off in the finals, was someone he had lost twice before (just like his Sinnoh rival) and against whom he did better each time. Everything was pointing to Ash finally defeating him this time and Greninja did a lot more damage to his Charizard than the opposite, but he still was the one to fall at the end for no logical reason. That plus the way the following arc went make it look like the original plan was to have Ash win and it got vetoed at the eleventh hour.

Unabashed Non fan here, pretty happy with how it resolved their team's arc even if it kind of felt like it was building up to something more. Making Drama thieving felt kind of dumb and cheap. Tricolore didn't need to do it.

I have no idea why Jewlie chose to look exactly like a younger, non-pink-haired Nanami. I guess they had the character design left over and never used it?

Ready Smile!! is great, but as with all the OPs the Salami/Pafé/Salami Dressing is nothing on the iRis version. Of the six songs that have been in the competition, it's easily the least good.

They said no new songs, not that you had to do the same song every time. And the statue-smashing has already shown Tricolore+Ucchari Big Bangs to be more powerful than Salami+Nonsugar, so they need some kind of gimmick to justify winning.

avex is not allowing international orders for their franchises anymore and stores like Amazon JP, CDJapan aren't accepting orders.
Anyone wanting to import CDs, BDs or DVDs from WUG, Pripara or King of Prism will have to use proxy.

Yuri on ice belongs to avex and a lot of people have import it. Either licensors want to stop people from importing the JP version and force them to get the inevitable US release or they don't want gaijin sales to mix with domestic sales. The problems is other releases like music and VAs events are going to be affected too

Solami Smile won, as we all saw coming. It didn't help that the entire episode felt like it was beating in the fact that NonSugar was going to lose. Them referencing back to Solami Smile's formation was pretty nice though. Non, Chili, and Pepper breaking into tears made it hurt more. If Solami Smile had actually gotten more focus this season I would feel like it was deserved, but they've pretty much ignored them except for Lala, so it just doesn't feel like they should have beaten the unit that's probably gotten the most focus this season, especially in the first round. A Solami Smile vs. NonSugar final would have been cool too, at least it would focus on a rivalry that's been at the center of this season as opposed to one they've ignored since the first season.

It also hurts knowing these three girls are going to be written off next season, I hope they get a much more proper send off episode before the season is over.

I thought that the whole episode made it seem like they were totally even. Both being as prepared as possible, that pre-show showing their almost even stats, both getting Valentine's chocolate from their goddesses. Even having Nonsugar go first seemed like it could easily be a trick and they'd swap out what they've done previously this time. But as soon as Solami pulled a Pafe and broke Nonsugar's Making Drama, it was over. It only drove it home when Non closed her eyes but Lala looked up. They deserved to win, but I wish that they at least made up a unique MD instead of just ripping off Nonsugar.

Other than the fact that it seemed like the shows been making it obvious they'll go the most boring route, I also thought Dressing Pafe's whole "Let's meet at the Finals" scene made it pretty obvious they really just want to do a Solami Smile vs. Dressing Pafe final. What really drove it home for me though was when they added more cheering during Solami Smile's performance, like another anon mentioned. I also just wish the show had actually focused on Solami Smile more throughout this season, since seeing the unit that they've built up for the last 20ish episodes lose in the first round hurt.

Stealing their MD was bullshit, but I thought it was way worse when Dressing Pafe did it, since a good chunk of that episode had been about Gaarmageddon coming up with a new Making Drama, and then Dressing Pafe just comes in and basically wrecks all their hard work with something they came up with last minute.
