Problem is that this whole impersonation shit has been going on for way too fucking long. Took them 20 god damn chapters to get this right. The season is most likely supposed to end with chapter 28, which is the end of the festival. The fat retard has already been part of the show for quite some chapters at that point, but most of his screentime would come afterwards. Considering that currently the pacing is 2 chapters per episode, they will probably have to cut some shit, which I am really hope they do.

In the end, Makabe was the one who got to kiss Aki and that sealed the deal for a while. THe whole thing fell apart after Makabe punched fat Masamune and exposed him as a fake. I like it a lot, my second favorite anime this season. Masamune, Aki and Neko are all pretty entertaining characters and the dramatic OST fits this show really well.
Also, the anime boosted manga sales, so at least there's that.
