In this case he really focused on depicting these two as brothers, even if they are shirtless next to each other in one page. There is also one page showing the two assassin sisters where one is fully naked (and about to "indulge" in a cat") and I don't think they're fucking either, so apparently the author thinks it's fine for one sibling to be naked next to another.

It's not too out of the ordinary for close siblings to share a bed in a motel room with only one. A following page, he refers to him directly as his "Brother" to the yakuza and they don't treat it with any ambiguity like you would expect if he was using "Aniki" as shorthand for superior. Oddman 11 comes out on the magazine Megastore Alpha, once every 2/3 months, and Melancholia is published on Ultra Jump which has a monthly release. Can't find much info about Babylon.
Now the time between publication and translation may not be very short, it depends on the fantranslator group.

Oddman 11's tank comes out soon. Suicide Parabellum is supposedly coming out soon after, according to Dowman.

I have a box of Dowman's older doujinshi and videogame anthology stuff to scan, dunno when I'll get around to that.

Not that anon, but I don't think this "moral police" is the reason a lot of Douman's works don't get published in the West.

Outside of Voynich, Nickelodeon, and now Melancholia and Babylon, Dowman's stuff is all either doujins or literal hentai. Given who publishes them the only one with even a chance of an English release would probably be Voynich, and even that's unlikely.
That being said I'd kill for a hardcover release of all three Voynich volumes in one big book, like Yen Press did with Wolf Children.

Taizou's cheek is on his Aniki's shoulder while they're hugging under the covers. Taizou is skinny, you can see his arm that's bent into his bro's chest. The thing I like about it is that it just puts everything else into an interesting spin, and finally makes chapter 1's claim about him falling in love make some kind of sense (sure, he falls for Elena in a few chapters, but in the past he seemingly has no love interests, so why would his grandmother say that?)

It also in a way explains his shifting tastes and sexuality. Maybe it explains why he was so into the yakuza (because his Aniki was), like how he gets really into Elena's body although he initially claims to prefer fuller forms.

And what's more, I just found it a neat and obvious in retrospect twist that explained better why he was really torn up about knowing his bro was probably dead. I dunno, I thought it fit perfectly, since the only "sibling" relationships in the manga otherwise were all sisters (the witches, Alice and her sister, the assassins)

it is definitely an interesting interpretation now that i've given it some thought. if there was a bigger/clearer time frame between the yakuza days and taizou's stay on the hotel island it would certainly help things, but it's hard to imagine him staying on the lam long enough for it to be a flashback to his younger days. though the framing definitely gives that impression.

I see a scene where two people are in bed. One person is trying to sleep. That is the red circle. The other person is laying on the side, their hand on their chin, and wants to talk. That is why the other person is much bigger to the left of the red circle, the person is laying on the side instead of laying flat. The person who is trying to sleep then lift their head and turns, as seen in panel two, and they talk together face to face. You can tell from the orientation of the faces that the two people are talking to someone in front of them.

I don't see how you plan to explain the area in the red circle. If they are one tangled mess in the middle of the bed then why is the bed cover not flat there? If these two individuals were spooning like lovers then why don't they talk in that position? How does it make sense that they are one tangled mess in the first panel and suddenly they begin talking face to face? There are too many things that don't add up to support your fanfiction.

Clothe is not bunched up there. It is entirely flat. If there is a bump that is because there is something under it. The author deliberately drew a bed with one large bump and one tiny bump. Then he drew one person who wants to talk and one person who reacts by lifting their head. It is natural to assume that the author chose to draw Taizou lifting his head for the same reason he chose to draw the second, flatter bump in the bed. That is, because Taizou was laying flat and Aniki was laying on his side.

Dowman Sayman has been creating manga for over 20 years and has made at least three standout notable works (Nickelodeon, Voynich Hotel, and The End of Sexual Instinct and the Hydrogen Bomb War).
