Cocona ~ Kon
Yayaka ~ ?
What was HER name?
>>153408095
So it's like that time they got stuck within a SOL PI for so long that Yayaka learns to play the drums and Cocona becomes the bassist for a school light music band?

Cockona is Cocona with a cock, not the tongue.
>>153413326
This may come as a surprise, but I never cared so much about cock.

I know that feel. She's such a good girl.
Are Yayacucks the new Tamaofags?
>>153413752
Most of us accept the way things went, we just feel for our girl that's all.
>>153413881
This, it makes some of the fanart more heartwarming than normal.
>>153413881
It kinda sucks though. I know they say there are always other fish in the sea, but I kinda feel Yayaka did a lot more to deserve Cocona than Papika did.
>>153413752
No, because Papika liked Yayaka too.
>>153414166
It's cute and heartwarming to see them together as friends still after the end.
Nothing should be able to come between them, as friends.

What's wrong with Sayaka?
>>153414368
No, but Yayaka's character has given me a huge craving more cute and cool tomboys with a big heart.
She was just so lovely, it was impossible to not appreciate everything about her and now I want more.
>>153414390
Not that fucking Sayaka.
>>153414432
Well it doesn't help when you only refer to a character by her first name.
>>153414416
This. Cocona has Papika, we want Yayaka for ourselves.
>>153414416
Have you watched Pandora? Clarion is cute and cool and kind of a tomboy.
>>153415565
Clarion wasn't a tomboy. Hell, Clarion was barely a character, she was like a deadpan kuudere that spent most of the show being a hugpillow for Nene.
>>153415671
You get outta here, Clarin was cool as heck.

>I kinda feel Yayaka did a lot more to deserve Cocona than Papika did.
You sound like you're probably an entitled whiny /soc/ faggot who thinks women should fuck you just because you're nice to them.
Yayaka lied to Cocona, she deliberately kept distance between herself and Cocona, she literally said her job was more important that Cocona. She realized everything way too late. She didn't do anything to deserve Cocona, if anything she did everything wrong.
I love Yayaka and I think she's a great character, but no, she didn't do anything to 'deserve' Cocona.
>>153416743
Well said.
I think that is what actually makes Yayaka's character so likable. It's tragic. She made mistakes, made the wrong choices, realized it and grew as a result. She faced the consequences head-on, and while it's sad, it's also very noble.
I think the only issue I have with Papika and Cocona together is that their relationship breakdown, when it happened, was a lot more petty and less compelling than the way in which Yayaka and Cocona's friendship nearly collapsed.
With Yayaka it was a genuine betrayal of trust, conflict of interest and a moment of very human weakness where she put her priorities in the wrong order out of fear and uncertainty for her own future. Those are relatable conflicts.
In Papika, she just spouted her Ex's name a bunch of times due to external mindfuckery and Cocona got insecure at the thought of competition in what was ultimately just a misunderstanding. Papika didn't make any mistakes outside of maybe communicating poorly (which is more or less a defining feature of her character), which consequently made that drama less compelling (misunderstanding instead of genuine relationship breakdown) and made me feel, personally, less invested in the resolution. I know it was supposed to be all about Cocona and everything, but I still feel like it was hard to be invested in a conflict predicated on a miscommunication.
>>153417521
The misunderstanding was never the main conflict, it was just a catalyst for the Mimi stuff and Cocona's issues there. Honestly I don't think a different type of conflict would've worked between PapiCoco. Not that they're not capable of deeper conflict, but Papika's whole point is being a very genuine person, and meanwhile Cocona is a teenager that's prone to misunderstandings and jealousy and things like that. The misunderstanding fits them and their relationship.

agreed
Yayacuck a shit.
Just gonna say something I noticed but never put out there/saw in a thread
I like how Yayaka's self-restraint is shown falling apart through her fighting style. The entire show she does her swing-around, tie-up-and-boom (more restraint/ destruction imagery) fighting style, up until episode 9, where she is arguing and fighting specifically over Cocona and her relationship with her. (EDIT: Just rewatched ep 8 and Yapico Boy is ALL ABOUT KICKING. More protecting Cocona!!) What does she do then? No fancy, just angry ass kick to the spine. She is direct and uncomplicated in her feelings for Cocona. This comes back in her henshin, fueled by her feelings for Cocona, where she gains the power to kick the ever loving shit out of stuff. In addition to freeing Papika from her cocoonthread bindings. Yayaka set herself free after all.
Admittedly, KKK was absolute toast at that point but you get the idea.
