Just because he's not a tortured soul like Kikuhiko doesn't make him one dimensional.
He's the perfect guy to turn the dark past from season 1 around into a happy ending. His relationship with Yakumo, Konatsu and Rakugo is amazing.

I've been struggling to watch it since episode 1, Yotaro is the most annoying, tone-breaking, uninteresting character I've seen. A shame, because I really did enjoy S1.

I like seeing him bounce off of Konatsu. They're not as good as Sukeroku Kikuhiko were but they're cute

I still like it. I wish the director would calm down and go back to doing things like season 1. I don't remember the slide transitions being abundant in s1 and latest ep had some moments that took me completely out of the show. He's an ex-shaft guy so he obviously likes the more nontraditional way of going about things but he should experiment elsewhere.
