No she doesn't. She went into a school thinking it'd be all fun and games instead of actual studying, and that the magic would come to her on a golden platter. We're now supposed to feel sympathetic towards her because she's genki and hopeful, even though she's thick as fuck. If she doesn't learn to actually put effort into things through the series and still ends up being a great witch thanks to some bullshit like the power of childlike wonder, I'm gonna be pissed.
