Mixing chocolate snacks with salt snacks? What the fuck is wrong with Japanese people.
>>
lol, is that ketchup? Who the fuck dips their chips in ketchup? I can understand ketchup flavored chips, but dipping chips in runny ketchup is retarded holy shit

>Pocky and Chips.
>Rice and Mayo.
Japan are bonkers.
>>
Sweet + salty is a nice combination
Sweet + sweet wine is not(considering the fact that it's written こどもわいん)
The chocolate sweetness kills the poor sweet flavor of the wine making it completely flavorless
>>
Don't you burgers have milk with your meals? Not any better.
>>
>>153330821
Do you not see those fried potato slices on the left? Do you eat french fries without ketchup as well?
>>
>>153330499
Chocolate + Potato Chips is one of the best combos ever though.
>>
>>153330821
It's obviously sweet and sour sauce, c'mon now.

I understand everything but the wine. Beer would fit this kind of food way better. The celebration they're doing probably warrants the wine, but why serve fries and pocky with it? It looks like a couple of 16 year olds trying to appear mature by including wine in there.
>>
>>153331322
>staff officers needing celebration to drink
Lol. That's probably just their usual snacks.
>>

Sad!
>>
>>153330944
>Do you eat french fries without ketchup as well?
Different anon here but I certainly don't. I prefer either some malt vinegar or good mayo.

>>
>>153330821
Chips and ketchup is fairly common in the US. I have been known to do it from time to time. Also most standard ketchup brands aren't runny. It's also very common to dip french fries in ketchup.

As for the chocolate, it's very common to serve chocolate with salty foods, in fact, some people will actually dust chocolate treats with sea salt.

If you dip fires in white vinegar, you have problems. You're supposed to use malt vinegar or balsamic if malt is not available.

we are not talking about that sugar holocausted milk chocolate here. that's pure fucking trash and causes literal cancer because of the amount of sugar in it.

I'm not that inveted in it, but it's a nice and unique flavour you should try before you write it off. Just saying.
It accompanies a good dram of Scotch very well. Preferably the peated and maritime kind like Lagavulin or Ardbeg.

>>153333009

Gotta hold up those bizarre Japanese moral broadcasting standards. Little girls in modern day Japan making out and getting slaughtered? A-Ok. Little girls in a fantasy universe setting having a glass of wine? UNACCEPTABARU
>>
>>153333187
not that anon, but I've always thought that swiss and belgian milk chocolates are a bit too milky or light, somehow, despite those countries in my understanding having great skill and tradition regarding chocolate. The "milk chocolate" in my country (finland) is more robust and darker, kinda, the flavor is different, and I like that more.

So it's probably just that countries do chocolate in different ways, and what's considered "basic milk chocolate" can vary quite a bit. Different recepies. Also of course it's just a matter of taste.

a) cheesecake recipes vary by region
b) the shit you get in the supermarket is usually way sweeter and fatter than homemade ones

Here in germany we use fat-reduced quark (a form of cream cheese made from sour milk).

Lol, I do this all the time. I always get salty snacks with a sweet snack. Though I make sure I have more salty snacks, sweet snacks get sickening if you eat too many, but salty snacks are just right.

Recently, my favorite salty snack is Cheetos, especially spicy or jalapeno. Favorite sweet snack is very dark chocolate.
>>
>>153333078
Why is it even mushroom?
>>
>>153331322
Agreed; kind of a strange mix of junk food and wine; if it was boxed wine that'd be one thing, Or if they kept the wine and replaced the snacks with some cheese and cookies or something, not necessarily upscale but more thematically consistent.
>>
>>153340516
The wine looks boxed-quality based on the bottle, to be honest. If it even is actual wine.
>>
>>153332669
grilled plantains are great, they are starchier and a bit more solid than bananas though, so they hold up to the heat better.
