Tons of series pander to fujos, and you fujos could just stop getting triggered everytime someone calls them out for it. Being labelled as fujobait doesn't mean it's necessarily hated, only a fringe minority actively avoids them. And Natsume Ono has done BL before, and even though ACCA tries to have the guys go all "ooh I'm totally crushing on that female" it sets the relationships between the guys in a way that's easy for fujos to grab on to. /a/ is really becoming delusional.

That said, the show isn't very good.
It only has the visuals going for it, the pacing and the plot could use a lot of work, it just isn't engaging enough.
Compare with Rakugo which has a similarly "boring" premise but also fantastic directing and pacing and you'll see what I mean.

The show feels like more episodic with an overarching plot more than anything. The pacing and plot fits it perfectly, in my opinion. Getting to know each state of Dowa each week is fun.

I don't even know what plebs mean when they are saying something is 'too slow'. If you take the last episode of Acca for example, it contained 200 pages from the manga. Fucking two hundred pages. They literally rushed through all the dialogs. I think only Nino's confession should have taken at least half of the episode. But they managed to show journey to two different districts, talk with Lilium, talk with district chief, revelation of Nino's surveillance and even Jean's meeting with Grossular. They also managed to put in Magi's stalkering, his meeting with Rail, his talk with baka prince about Lotte and even return of that girl from the first ep. Compare it to an average shounen when you often see a small part of battle and a shittalk between opponents, or an average cute girls series when they do literally nothing important. If you think Acca is slow or don't have enough plot you just blatantly don't understand what is even happening there. Because every talk MC has with someone is not random and important to the main plot.
