When it came out, there were Alicia reaction faces everywhere. It's good for those.

had to appeal to the most generic moe-moe waifu otakus out there.

The show's an Alicia Reaction Face goldmine, but that's about it. Every character acts out of character, and is 10x more annoying and stupid. Animation is sup-bar, and they do their best to avoid animating proper combat and tactics.

The only good VC animated material is the VC3 OVAs.

Much better than the abomination that was the VC1 anime.
Go play VC3 and watch these instead.
