If anything the manga improved on them. It explains how Black is able to use Goku's body as well as he does since going off what we know from the Ginyu fight, Black should not be able to decently use that body let alone use it better than Goku himself which was the case in the anime. It also gave Black and Future Zamasu a reason to work together the Zenkai and Healing combo. Whereas in the anime Black's Toei Zenkai doesn't need him to be seriously injured for it to take effect. Thus making his team up with Future Zamasu kind of unnecessary.

1)In the anime we get proper build up for Zamasu killing the kais, and becoming black

This scene is perfect, it manages to establish the views of both zamasu and gowasu on justice, we get a little development from zamasu in the form of him building the resolve to do what he deems necessary.

Not only that it does a great job at establishing how different he is from other kais, but also establishes his motivation for Killing Gowasu whose views are irreconciliable with his "justice".


2) In the manga the fact he never met Goku makes the fact he eventually steals his body and kills feel incredibly forced, he could have easily wished to just become strong enough to wipe out all ningens whereas

I don't know if it's a quality/budget problem rather than an art director/hired animators problem. There are shows like One Punch Man that got stellar animation despite its budget being just regular, purely thanks to the passion put into the project from the animators. And that they're good fucking animators. Granted it was only 12 episodes long but look at a long-running series like HxH, don't ask me how the fuck it looks so on point almost always despite having over a hundred episodes.

Replace the dozens of tired gooks that make up DBS's pipeline and put some good fucking artists. If you don't make them rush their work, pay them well and write something they'll love to animate, then that should be it. Done.

Hunter x Hunter is a huge exception. It's probably the most consistent looking and well animated long running show (by long running I mean more than two years without breaks) to air, at least in the past two decades.

I'm not too familiar with OPM's production but I hear it was made well in advance, and had a lot of polishing. This is pretty much impossible to do in a series that keeps running for more than one cour. You can't make things that much in advance.
Then we have the issue of the technical disparity between Madhouse, one of the best studios in the business, and Toei which I hear is full of backwards-ass internal policies. I don't know the specifics but the point is Madhouse has better tech and schedule than Toei.

The animators and directors working on Super are for the most part not bad, but the project itself is a mess.

According to Toriyama, Roshi could have always been this strong if only he put all his mind onto it, so whatever he ki trained and got a lot stronger, maybe he overtook Yamcha by fighting Kuririn once in a while and meditating.

I like to think that Roshi was getting stronger through all of DBZ we just didn't notice since he is very much useless no matter how much he improves (like for example he learned to sense Ki sometime after the Freeza Saga).

Another example would be how the anime needed to retell the two movies, while Toyotaro had the freedom to skip most of BoG and completely skip RoF because he can rely on people watching either the Super anime or the Movies. The manga reaches less people than the anime. V-Jump isn't a popular magazine by the manga that are released there, but by the game-related stuf. Someone buying V-Jumps to read his manga are probably more hardocre fans who are aware of the other things going on in the franchise, and Toyotaro can take advantage of that when writing. The anime, meanwhile, airs at what is the biggest timeslot for anime, alongside One Piece on Sunday mornings, reaching a much bigger audience.
