oh.... i should already know about that, also what happen to /mlp/ just to start jojo generals?
i just like to reply with reaction images, even though im actually a mexicuck.

If Jolyne and Giorno did end up fighting each other in part 6, who would have won?
Using as inspiration for manga.
And hard dickings
But the real question is, does he make you happy?
Giorno would have the advantage from a stand perspective, but wouldn't that give Jolyne the advantage from a narrative one? Araki loves the underdog winning as do most other people.
I guess you could say you had a...
...Gap in your knowledge.
She could probably tie up any animal in a non harmful way with her string. Giorno would still have some ass pull and manage to defeat Jolyne unless she lead him into a snare some how.
I could see it happening as some sort of mistaken or forced conflict, probably with Pucci's involvement. But I doubt they'd ever try and kill each other outright, they're both good people.
While some of Giorno's fights are extremely unsatisfying I don't think it's fair to say that he relies on asspulls. He was bad at the start (damage-reflection, life-shot) but after that it wasn't nearly as bad.
I guess. His stand can just do so much that it just feels like one ass pull after the other. Halfway through the story I just got used to it because new stuff stopped happening.
He definitely was in the sort of situation one would find himself resorting to drugs. I don't like going "WSJ boogeyman!!!!" but this is the sort of shit that probably wouldn't be okay with WSJ's editors.
>It'd be a less 'drugs r bad' message and more of a 'drugs target the weak and vulnerable' one.
It always came off as the latter to me. Araki never went in depth with why drugs are bad and avoided putting them into Narancia's story because he wanted us to think about the real world. Drugs ARE bad, seeing junky street kids is one of the worst feelings. That scene with Buccelati and Giorno talking about the druggie kid with the fucked up arm felt very effective to me. Narancia having a drug problem would definitely drive the point home.
Yeah, thinking about it, it'd have been really good, definitely not WSJ material tho, it'd be dark as fuck.
>open the thread fully aware of what i'm going to see
>click the spoiler
>still fucking disgusted
I dunno, WSJ let a lot fly, didn't they? There was that kid at the start, we got to see Buccellati commit premeditated murder at age 12, there was that little baby that was suffering horrifically from The Grateful Dead's aging effects, Sorbet being tortured to death in front of his helpless, weeping partner who committed suicide, etc. It seems strange that Narancia being a potential druggie in the past would cross a line when none of that did.
It's so fucking weird seeing decent Narancia discussion.
>Another week till Valentine's Day
>Can't think of anything to beat last year's edit.
The kid at the start was merely a symbol, he wasn't a character dear to the reader. Narancia having drug issues in his past would probably work better as a twist, that would probably cause a shit storm. I don't know if it'd be off the limits, I imagine there are people that have much more knowledge about how that works and if there has been cases in other WSJ of main cast characters with drug problems in their lives.
Adults being brutally murdered and kids killing, specially if it's self defense, seems to completely okay tho, it's super common. Think about how Jotaro, a seventeen yo smoking got censored in the anime. I know manga is a lot less restrained but it's also a much more extreme situation.
I want to see Jolyne and Jotaro gang raped together while they hold hands and tell each everything will be all right.
stop crossboarding to /a/ and only talking about jojo
The Court of the Crimson King
I mean the way it starts just has this slightly melancholy and hopeless feeling to it. When the vocals kick in it would be fucking perfect to cut to the ED
Rohan drew Heaven's Door before we saw the stand's form, or am I remembering wrong. Cause if he designed his own stand like that that's pretty cool. Though it could have been him drawing it cause he knows his stand without having to have seen its form yet
This is the last one. Everything else I have involves him sexually dominating Jotaro
But on second thought, Epitaph would be so fucking good too.
I can picture almost every song from the album being used perfectly in part 5. I really want 21st Century Schizoid Man to play when Bruno encounters Diavolo the most though.
If you guys haven't listened to this album yet, I really recommend it.
>Everything else I have involves him sexually dominating Jotaro
I don't like thinking about the incest aspect of it.
What little I have right now isn't porn, but still I hope it's OK.
Not everyone can love Jojo, but keep in mind that the series changes themes and tone a lot, so I don't know if you'll like the latter parts. Araki gets better at writing, though. Part 5 isn't as liked as other parts, but I hope you like it enough to not drop the series.
Nah, the memory-disc holds the memories, but the stand-disc holds the soul. If you take the memories but not the stand then you get something like Weather or Jotaro before he got his memories back (Jotaro was basically a giant toddler, couldn't talk or clean himself, would attack people without warning for causing him mild annoyance) but if you take the memories AND stand or just the stand you get a vegetable, as the body can't live without the soul.
Thanks for sharing the art anon, but we should stop, it's kind of derailing the thread.
Anyone wants to talk about Trish? Should they keep her VA for the anime? What color should her eyes be on the anime, green like the SAS, dark blue like EoH or bright blue like colored manga?
I honestly don't know. I liked how she yelled wannabe but I could take it or leave it.
Speaking of voice acting will sex pistols have a higher pitched voice or will it change like sheer heart attack in the anime
What's the point of you get zero feedback?
How did Josuke use crazy diamond to save Hayato from a full body explosion?
Heaven's Door is just the protaganist of the manga Rohan made called Pink Dark Boy. Rohan's an edgy fuck for making his O.C his stand.
Half the porn involving the two is either futa or pegging. So it would it would probably be the reverse.
I feel the same way, she works but I wouldn't mind a change. Does she have the same VA in the ps2 game? Curious as to how other Trish voices might be.
He repaired him at the exact moment he started breaking apart. The anime decided to make him break apart fully before being repaired which makes the whole scene look kind of stupid.
Just started part 8. Why does Trashman's family hate him so much?
finished part 5 (with the new translations)
that was one wild ride, fuck
it was good but some parts (and characters) felt lacking
but it felt confusing a lot of the time to read, as well as feeling pretty fast paced the entire time (both as if the story's pace and the entire production were rushed).
honestly not sure what to think right now, but overall, I enjoyed it
Vitamin C. And yes, as soon as the third Damo chapter released and I saw MY STAND IS CALLED VITAMIN C AND YOU HAVE BEEN SEVERELY SOFTENED I knew it had to be Can and I fell in love.
Best dad, other than most of Jolyne's life when he was a terrible dad.
Usually when Stand users die with their effect active the effect just ends normally like it would if they deactivated it while not dying. So I imagine they'd just get expelled before the room is dispelled.
>Jorge Joestar is 700+ pages long
What was the general consensus in Japan?

Just look at the current state of the fanbase
It's not a surprise desu
>tfw just want a futuristic/Blade Runner Jojo.
Well, they're from an alien source. It's only natural the same extraterrestrial material that grants Stands could interact with and enhance them.
SBR is just the power of Jesus.
Because aliums. Stands are a projection of your will but the projector is alien bacteria. Touching those bacteria with MORE bacteria is basically like turning the brightness on the projector up as far as it can go.
Jesus and aliums again. The Devil's Palm isn't related to Jesus but from a meteorite and it grants Stands. Is Jesus really just using alien magic in the SBRverse? Will we find out in JoJolion or is it just an unused plot thread from SBR after it switched magazines?
I don't care what anyone else says, this dub of Cioccolata is actually pretty good...granted the Giorno needs more work, but you can't win them all.
>The Devil's Palm isn't related to Jesus but from a meteorite and it grants Stands.
What? Each Devil's Palm was created around a corpse part after the 9 pieces were scattered around America. The meteorite thing was likely just a minor callback to the arrows.
Years ago, when I first read the title of Jojo parts I remember imagining stone ocean as a sea quest to retrieve some stones or whatever. Guess reading Stone Free and Diver Down didn't help. This shit somehow still makes me laugh. Did anyone alse have weird expectations from any Jojo part? I'm curious.
I think it's more likely that Araki had not idea what the fuck he was doing at the start of SBR and quickly threw together the idea of the meteorite and Devil's Palm and then entirely scrapped it in favor of jesus' corpse.
I like this stuff. Jotaro and DIO being good dads.
I sure do love Killer Queen the song.
Stop doing that to him, please
I thought Phantom Blood was somehow a horror manga.
There's something that has been bothering me for a while now.
Is Mako's goku uniform a reference to Jotaro?
I want to believe it's not, that it's just a generic bancho outfit.
At least there will be a big festival with announcements like Part 5 or one-shot OVAs
on an unrelated note, Samurai Jack Season 5 confirmed
That style of outfit was in existence before Jotaro. It's a somewhat common trope in Japanese fiction, just that Jotaro is the most popular example of it. I'm pretty sure it wasn't specifically stated to be a reference to Jotaro, too. Unless it was and I'm wrong.
>thinking Part 5 adaptation will be announced this soon after the Part 4 one ended
If it's announced at Great Festival we'll either not see anything from it for months or it'll be rushed as all fuck. I don't see it airing this year unless it airs over into next year as well, so I don't see an announcement this soon either. At most we'll get a golden 5 appear at the end of the OVA or something and they won't acknowledge it for 6 months or so.
In December 2010 I tried to read Phantom Blood but didn't get past the first few chapters. But I was still aware of Stands being a major part of Jojo. In July 2015 I watched the end of Part 3 and had a general idea from that that Jojo was about the Joestar family over the generations but still didn't know what Hamon was so when I started watching Phantom Blood in November 2015 I was confused about the lack of Stands but figured out rather quickly that they must show up at some other point in the future.
They're pretty good, fanart that makes Diego noticeably taller is weird though
Considering all the possible timelines I'm sure there's a happy HP & Diego ending.
Wasted potential and her ending felt anticlimactic like Araki just couldn't be bothered with her anymore. It sucks because she had so much potential to be one of his best female characters but it was never capitalised on. At least Lucy was good.
I saw an old discussion somewhere in 4chan where people were fighting about a character based on the bancho stereotype, because apparently Jotaro was the first character ever to wear a student cap that is torn at the back (obviously he's not, pic related) and nobody could provide any earlier examples.
I love Jojo but I really hate it when people instantly assume something is a 'le jojo reference' when it's probably not (I think FotNS gets confused for JoJo the most), and since I love banchos and kinda hate Jotaro it annoys me even more.
Yes but not in that way.
You know, no one ever really talks about Lucy. She's pretty much the third main character after Johnny and Gyro and yet no one is surprised about her not getting a figure. Why is it that she's not as iconic as less major characters like Diego or even Hot Pants? Is it really just that she doesn't have a stand until almost the very end?
Actually what kind of archtypes -can- Araki claim to be the pioneer?
Closest I could think of is Yukako jumpstarting the whole yandere archtype (though chances are there's earlier examples)
In a battle manga she doesn't really participate in many battles, nor does she have much potential in combat. Also it wasn't really clear how major she was in the story until Love Train, she felt kind of similar to Diego and Hot Pants in that she was an important side character but didn't really give off protagonist vibes until the final quarter despite being present from the first chapter.
It's probably fair to say that Jotaro is the most famous bancho character, and if something's parodying or referencing it there's a reasonable chance it'll be referencing him. Pic related, that chain can't be a coincidence.
At first glance the KLK uniform looked a lot like a Jotaro reference (the torn hat at the back, the gold modifications, the star knuckle-dusters and some of her gestures) but it's impossible to say it's referencing him specifically.
I dunno if he truly pioneered many but for sure he popularised like half of the shonen archetypes that dominated the demographic for the next two decades and are only now dying off, the other half being popularised by Dragon Ball.
>you helplessy watch as he impresses her, makes her laugh, and puts his hands on her hips
>she doesn't mind, in fact she leans closer to him despite you watching
>he looks at you for a moment and laughs
>they ride on by ignoring you
>you know they'll be fucking in the next room tonight as you lie in bed and cry with your tiny cock out
Oh, also, thanks to you and the other guy who replied I decided to do a little research and apparently Kill la Kill was inspired the most by anime and manga from the Showa era, such as Harisu no Kaze and Sakigake Otokojuku (according to Trigger themselves). I didn't see anything about JoJo.
>It's probably fair to say that Jotaro is the most famous bancho character
That's fucking terrible because I want to see more love for banchos, not just him.
This artist loves drawing baby Giorno with blond hair, but sometimes they draw him with his actual kid design
Yeah, I know Pangoro is just a bancho-based pokémon, I just posted a pic of whatever I had at hand to illustrate my point.
That reminds me of this
Doppio could probably be considered the original Diavolo, being a sweet, dopey boy who didn't mean anyone any harm and generally did what he was told.
When Diavolo emerged as a response to some form of trauma (probably sexual assault) he took complete control, able to manipulate Doppio's actions through phone-calls and seeming able to control his memories, too.
Basically Doppio's all that's left of the original, Diavolo is a rogue personality that took over.
Polnareff said that split personalities are the result of extreme trauma. Diavolo underwent some kind of trauma at a young age, where he had to become a hard-ass to survive and cope with it. The mob boss personality is there to protect the childlike personality from harm, but over the years the roles got reversed because SUTANDO PAWA and both identities having their own souls. So Doppio is basically a snapshot of what Diavolo was like before the trauma, like you said a memory of himself that he had to protect, but the memory has it's own soul and is it's own person. Eventually Diavolo overcame his trauma but in a very unhealthy way, and he no longer tries to protect his image of his old self after he burned down his hometown to destroy that image, and only uses it as a tool to further his own goals.
Here, have some more dad Jotaro and DIO.
>im actually a mexicuck What do you think of this fine piece of art, friend? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMOdbDAuu-s
Oh, I thought you were being sarcastic because that description basically fits the whole archetype.
I don't think there really is an 'original' personality in this case, I always read it as Doppio being how Diavolo saw himself as a pure young boy and he became a massive cunt to try and protect this image of himself that he had, so while Diavolo was once like Doppio, Doppio isn't Diavolo and Diavolo as he is now isn't really the same person as he was before the trauma. Over time Doppio ends up being the one who protects Diavolo though.
Better way of explaining it; Doppio was created to help Diavolo feel in control by giving him something to protect but in reality it was Doppio protecting Diavolo from the harsh reality of what happened to him.
I guess it's possible, but I find it unlikely. Diavolo would have had to have been a naturally paranoid, aggressively-inclined boy, and in order to cope with being raped or otherwise abused he invented a sweeter, more vulnerable persona that he protected. That's the opposite of how MPD usually works, the newer personality is always meant to be one that protects the original, which shows in how Diavolo repeatedly comes to Doppio's rescue.
I guess an argument could be made for Doppio protecting Diavolo by giving him a disguise from which he could anonymously do his mob stuff, but even then I have my doubts since Dop is so often so incompetent and prone to upsetting Diavolo with the trouble he gets into.
Probably just because it's a place he's familiar with, and he was able to kill the man on Buccellati's team whose ability frightened him the most.
In spite of his stand being shitty at combat, Abbacchio could be considered the MVP of Diavolo's downfall, since it was only through a relic of Diavolo's past (Polnareff and the arrow) that was able to do anything to him. If Abbacchio hadn't provided them with Diavolo's face and prints then the gang never would've been able to find him, and probably would've been picked off at his leisure.
am i autistic for
writing a DnD module with heavy influences from part 4 and stands
Yeah, he has his decent traits (Like trying to save that kid being hit by the car, and later on going out of his way to avoid stepping on a bug) but he's not some pure angel. He notably never questions any of Diavolo's ethics or orders even when Diavolo himself is torn, like Doppio didn't speak out against working with him when Diavolo told him about Cioccolata's backstory, or when Cioccolata killed half of Rome.
It's okay because Doppio is a total slut for the Bossu.
He can't handle it when other guys try to touch him but he's okay with Bossu flirting with him. Probably even got a stiffy when he called him cute.
>implying doppio wouldn't fuck the shit out of diavolo's boipucci and make him sweat off the makeup
I actually was part of that discussion and I was arguing that Jotaro was not the first character to wear a gakuran as a uniform or a torn-up cap (besides your example I also posted pic related, which is the MC from Ai No Makoto, a manga that Araki loved when he was young). And he didn't really popularize the "delinquent young man" MC either, works such as Ashita no Joe, AKIRA and Osu Karate Bu came way before JoJo.
But I'd argue that Jotaro isn't really a typical delinquent, and that he instead helped to popularize the "stoic cowboy" character type in manga.
Most people have been saying pure and innocent from Diavolo's point of view. He's still a nasty little shit but it's the nasty little shit Diavolo remembers being but thinks of a cute nasty little shit.
He never claimed anything actually, whenever he talks about a character or Stand, he's always about what inspired him. Even Yukako is inspired by Annie Wilkes from Misery.
The one thing he truly pioneered is the idea of a spirit fighting for the character, as he wanted to draw superpowers differently and create a separation between the character and his superpower.
not him but
>Fapping to traps
ohohoho you fool
>Fapping to traps is gay as fuck
You miss the point of traps, its to trick the mind into believing you are in the straight spectrum for fapping to a girly boy.
Fapping to muscles is 10x worse since there is no trick and bara is complete garbage
>ZA HANDO ZA WARUDO at 5:20
>Girliness is gay

Gay as shit man
Yeah, Jotaro didn't popularize the delinquent stereotype in Japan, but his look sure made an impact on the West. Maybe due to newer generations not giving a shit about older manga?
Am I the only one who thinks Gappy will eventually awaken Killer Queen?
I just recently caught up with jojolion and if Gappy IS the fusion of two stand users then his soul is binded to TWO stands at the same time, it wouldn't make sense if KQ died off since Kira's soul is still alive inside of Gappy
>Jojolion ends with Gappy awakening Killer and Queen and using both of his stands to fight the main bad guy
That would be so
shit. I would literally stop reading Jojo if this happened, it would be so horrible I think I would burn every JJBA volume I own and eat my collection of 400+$ of figures.
That part about Gappy's soul has never been stated. He might have both, just Josefumi's or a completely new one, my personal guess.
Best girl will die won't she
It's definitely a dumb a idea, but execution is everything. I don't think it will ever happen, considering Josefumi's S&W is a completely different from Gappy's, which has traits of Killer Queen already.
I know you're joking, but it's definitely not something that would take away from the previous parts, fucking up your collection over it would be nonsense.
I don't know anon, i think having the protagonist with two stands is a cool concept that we haven't really seen before.
Well yeah it would make more sense to say that he's more part Josefumi than he is Kira, but in a sense he's still both at the same time? it could go either way really.
I'm just going by the general "stand is tied to the user's soul" idea that most jojo parts go by, if Gappy's "soul" really is made up of two people's souls, then Kira's stand should be inside of him somewhere.
Clearly we have to combine the two together
I'm joking please don't
Will araki ever explain the Joestar mark on Josefumi or did he just fuck up again
Cause it would probably an ass pull with no foreshadowing
>That lil hole in S&W chest will become a hole that shoots bubbles that contain SHA'S that explode into more bubbles with more SHA's till they explode at sub atomic levels
So, I just finished Steel Ball Run but, can we all agree that Part 6 ending was just a
lazy but coolattempt at introducing different dimensions?
Jotaro wanted to look as rude as possible so he cut his hat to accomodate his hair.
The weird thing is that he never stopped, even at his 40s he's still trying to pull off the bancho look
He already has, read Vitamin C again please.
Souls are bound to identity in Jojo, look at Bossu and FF.
One colective conscience formed by numerous life forms has one soul, Bossu had two identities, thus, two souls.
In his journey Gappy has been forming his own identity, completely different from both Kira and Josefumi, even if he does share some traits with them.
Just wait, Araki knows what he's doing
What are you guys hoping for the EDs for the upcoming parts? (Regardless of the likelihood)
Part 5: https://youtu.be/zICb-9m2dGA
Part 6: https://youtu.be/Gx0Mkq1TZzo
And I think Part 7 and 8 could have Roundabout and I Want You as their EDs, for obvious reasons
Do you reckon they do more with her character?
well requiem stands gain a power that is capable of achieving that which the user most desires
depending on the situation, it would either be an infinite time stop, or become an invincible guardian for jolyne (think chariot req, but instead of protecting the arrow it protects jolyne)
His fight with Damo won me over.
>the moment when he simply says Sheer Heart Attack
Maybe I'm too sleepy to remember, but did Seakira ever used the primary bomb? From what I could recall he mostly uses those tiny SHAs to blow shit up.
Maybe if they go for those ridiculous names people are gonna pay more attention to the character screaming the correct name.
I mean, AEROSUMISU and STICKY FINGAAS sound nothing like Zipper Man and Lil Bomber.
Thinking about it, I can't believe there are people out there who actually call Echoes and CD Reverb and Shining Diamond, are americans deaf or something?
As much as I want 21st century man to play in part 5, lets be honest guys it's nearly impossible. No way they will get the rights, they flipped out just when Kanye West used it in Power.
Yea I saw people post him making a facebook post about it or something like that. Only real thing that works in favor, other than that they hate anything but physical copies of there music being distributed. You can't even find it on spotify, and they held out on a iTunes release for a pretty long time.
>inb4 davidproduction waits for all of them to fucking die so the emotionless company that owns the copyrights can shill their songs out would you be okay with part 5 being delayed so they can get the rights to some kc songs?
Requiems, per rule, are related to control of spirits. They are a brand new temporary Stand that gives it's user a fitting power.
Maybe it'd be "same type of Stand" only for every Stand.
Or maybe it would allow Jotaro to perpetually freeze souls in time.
I hope his stand will eventually evolve.
[Soft & Wet Heaven Requiem: Act 4] when?
>Jojo's Bizarre Adventure OP 1 (Equestria Girl's Theme)
it's gook moot doing shit again
it happens when 2 pictures are posted at the exact time and sometime the server gets confused and they flip, somewhere some /v/ shitpost is now a jojo one, congratulations.
Just how serious of an issue is it to use a song name? And where is the line drawn on such a thing? I mean, changing names like Echoes seems ridiculous because, stand alone, it's just a single common word that you can't really own the rights to. Or is it instinctive because everyone knows Stand names are from songs so they have to change it?
Take your favorite unexplainable panels in jojo.
Make an explination for them in ms paint.
Bonus points for creativity.
I imagined something like perpetual sleep paralysis or something, I didn't put much thought into it.
But if you didn't understand it that means it works as a Requiem.
It is logical to assume that Prince would be the cause for the game's lack of US release, but as for the
>that's when the JoJo official translations started changing shit
I call bullshit on that because Heritage was released before the Part 5 game and it still had name changes like D'Bo, J.Gale, S-Terry Dan and Voing.
Time=the decay of almost everything that falls prey to the apex predator that is time.
Time= decay of living beings.
Living beings posses souls.
As time goes on a living being gets older slower more frail.
Their souls weaken as time goes on.
Star platinum in part 3 was strong as shit.
Star platinum in part 4 was still strong albeit not the same as part 3, Jotaro had aged 10 years and time stop puts a massive strain on your body unless youre a vampire.
Star platinum in part 6 was weaker than part 4 Star platinum.
As time went on and Jotaro got older his literal manifestation of his soul Star platinum got somewhat weaker.
When Kak got donutted Hierophant green barely was able to manifest itself cause that nigga was dying fast as shit.
Time stop can stop a soul.
It stops its decay.
I.e it freezes that soul in place
This might be filled with a fuckton of plotholes
>It is logical to assume that Prince would be the cause for the game's lack of US release
Not really, they would've just changed the name like they did with the Capcom fighting game. If it was released today now that the anime is a thing then they'd localize it, but back then there simply was no audience overseas for a Jojo part 5 game and it wasn't a good enough game to stand on its own either.
