Yeah that's cool, that's exactly what I did, those "other things" being shitposting. Except Rosetta Stone is literally trash and, as a good person myself, I'd recommend you steer clear of any stupid computer games. The only worthwhile program is really anki. Apart from that, I just used a textbook and real Japanese things like manga and precure. Immersion coupled with mindless memorization my is the name of the game, my friend. Learn it the same way you learned English, and just use anki as a tool to speed things up a little.

However, if they want to sell the merchandise, which this seems to be a very heavily merchandise driven anime they're going to have to at least hold some aspects that appeal to adult audiences. This a million times. I got into Precure because I was so sick and tired of the same otaku crap. I can't even watch most of the seasonal crap anymore because all of it feels like the same fucking show. Not denying that Precure isn't formulaic, but I don't see how it's moreso than most anime that airs nowadays. At least it doesn't feel like it's desperately trying to appeal to me with all its cute girls, the girls feel more natural, if cliched sometimes, but I like it.

Precure is more popular than any of the other little girl shows and has been so for a while, so they have to pay more attention to what they do. Also Aikatsu is a million times more boring than Precure. I watched 100 episodes of that shit and it's kind of odd that the characters never fight or disagree on anything to the point that it's creepy to me. I actually think it's more "pure" than Precure is and feels less real.

I felt Kirakira will be Fresh's true successor. Ichiko is very similar to Love (hairstyle, personality and sound) and we probably get a shy yellow and token sexy model character. The masked general in OP may be another Eas archetype.
Gopri has similar team construct but has different tone (probably more similar to HC). Maho is Suite's successor.
