How the fuck does something with quite literally infinite power lose a fight?
>>
>>153112982
Infinity+1
>>
>>153112982
Because he gimped himself on purpose.
>>
He didnt understand how a drill worked

>>
>>153112982
He did not believe in himself
>>
>>153112982
He didn't row, or fight the power
>>

>>
>>153112982
Kind of some CHIM dealio, with a bit of this >>153113005 and that >>153113268 . Can't sustain his power and then poof.
>>
>>153112982
>tries to save the universe from an over use from a certain energy to the point of giving up individual free will
>dies to the largest amount said energy ever used

Got to feel bad for the anti-spirals
>>
>>153112982
It was about ideals, he gave up because he saw they'd just keep escalating the fight
>>
>>153112982
Different orders of infinity.
>>
>>153114423
This anon gets it.
>>
>>153112982
It was a test to see when they'd fall to despair. Since the humans refused to fall even when their flagship was destroyed, the Antispirals decided they were finally capable of handling spiral power.
>>
>>153114414
I never looked at it this way

in Lagann-Hen they are fighting with beyond Big Bang levels of power
>>
>>153112982
He realized that, by throwing around galaxies and cutting them apart, there are so many quadzillions of casaulties, that their mission to protect the universe from heat-death basically would be rendered meaningless.

Anti-spirals are scientists, after all. Rational people. Better give up and let some dumb kids ruin your shit and hope that they may one day come to the same conclusion as you.
>>
>>153114423
Shut up, Georg Cantor.
>>
2∞>∞

2∞/∞=2
>>
>>153114558
Different Dimensions :^)
>>
>>153114548
>>153114558
The final fight takes place in a imaginary pocket dimension where thoughts are made reality. They're throwing abstract representations of galaxies and making imaginary big bangs. If it was real it'd take thousands of years to take one step.
>>
>>153114548
Seriously.

In the end, they fought with robots in the size of several gallactic super-clusters. The punches alone that they were throwing around had to have relative velocities several hundred times of light-speed, since they easily crossed the distance of multiple galaxies and were witnessed by the characters inside the cockpit in real-time, not to mention by the people on earth without several millenia of time-lag.

The energies that they set free by throwing galaxies around would have been beyond big-bang. Kinda like the billionth time the power of the "dark energy". The Gravitational pull of a super-heavy black-hole cluster is laughable compared to that power.

>>153114722
>>153114621
Believe in Spiral Power :^)
>>
>>153114786
Spiral power broke the "simulation" but it still wasn't real. The antispirals literally state that it's a place where thought is made reality.
>>
>>153114852
sizes were real, though. It is officially stated that Gurren Lagann featured the largest sized super-robots of all anime.

Just that laws of nature didnt count in that dimension. So, even if super-robots were as large as multiple galaxies, time and space didnt count in the dimension.
>>
>>153114941
~60 million light years iirc

So about 50 billion times bigger than earth
>>
>>153112982
He have to divide by zero to win?
>>
>>153112982
lordgenome literally explained that they like to fight upon equal ground because it makes the despair from defeat all the greater
>>
FROM MY POINT OF VIEW, INFINITY IS SMALL TIME
>>
>>153117298
At the end of Lagann-Hen they grow to be a size taller than STTGL so I like to imagine that's their limit
>>
Simon had more than infinite power
>>
>>153112982
Because Spiral Power is literally "Fuck your logic and rules, I have GUTS"
>>
>>153117974
The literal motto for the show is Do the impossible
>>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEI-NCTsiPE
Still pretty hype.
>>
Reminder that the events that have taken place in this anime are impossible.
>>
>>153119321
No shit
>>
>sea-moan
>>
>>153112982
Because he had to intentionally limit himself. Not only for the fear factor, but also because the Anti Spiral knew that if they didn't then the Spirals would continue to evolve even faster, which would just accelerate the Spiral Nemesis / Super Black Hole.

At some point the fight would literally make his ideals moot, which is why he just gives up and just tells Simon "Don't fuck it up and destroy the universe"
>>
>>153119051
I have watched this clip so many freaking times.
>>153119321
Mate, even by the show's own laws of physics what they do is impossible

>>153113005
Someone explain a dumbfuck like me how the fuck that works. I know "more infinites" are supposed to be there but how?
>>
>>153119484
I can't believe this got me
>>
>>153120222
How many fractions exist between 0 and 1

How many exist between 0 and 2

Checked
>>
>>153112982
Simon has infinite power too, and then he also has his friends to add. That edge is all he needed. If something is equal, then anything, even if it's barely anything is an advantage.
>>
>>153114722
>implying they weren't fighting faster than the speed of light
>>
>>153120222
Going by the wikipedia link someone else posted ( >>153113821 ) it's hyperreals. I've heard of them, but never looked into them myself.
>>153120293
The same number I'm pretty sure. If I'm not remembering wrong, it's probably the same as there being the same number of odd numbers as there are integers
>>
>>153120434
I know that's not it but that's the simplest analogy I could give
