I felt exactly the same while/after playing S;G

eventhough it's not as good as the original, 0 managed to get the same feelings out of me as the original did.

The biggest problem I had with 0 (wich is completely subjective) is that the story was way more "open". you have to reach different endings to get the true one and it's recommended to watch most endings to get the whole exoerience (way more than in the original). because of that I didn't had this "wow, what a crazy journey this was" feeling after reaching true ending.
there are also lots of sudden time skips (sometimes days, sometimes months) that feel kinda weird/sudden.

still, it feels like a real continuation of the original story and it's definitely a worthy successor, don't worry

Pretty much. The first bits did a lot to warm me up to the idea that AI Kurisu might be interesting and relevant to the plot and then she steadily vanishes.

What the fuck was that shit? This was not what I fucking wanted from the game. I wanted to see Okabe actually go through WW3. I wanted to see him research time travel with Daru, and how to make a fucking time machine. I wanted to see his relationship with Mayuri pan out, especially once Mayuri knows about her being the reason Kurisu died. With the introduction of Kagari, I wanted to see Mayuri raise a child. The same thing with Daru. I wanted to see Faris and Luka grow as actual characters. I wanted to see how Maho fit into the future story once she was introduced.
I got barely any of this besides hints. I got to play pussy okabe for more than 75% of the game. I got exposition on characters I could not give 2 shits about. I got straight up lazy writing when it comes to the plot. I got a halfbaked Kurisu replacement which should not have been in the fucking game at all. I got a non-ending, which seems to be purposely left that way to sell anime. I got incredibly lazy and some downright badly drawn CGs. In the end, I was fucking bored throughout nearly my entire playthrough.
Not to say I didn't enjoy and love the game, I just found it incredibly disappointing. It has some incredibly strong points, with Daru and Maho being excellent characters, an excellent soundtrack, and when Okabe stops being a pussy absolutely amazing scenes (Braun, return of Kyouma). It's just not what I was expecting at all. My hopes were probably a little high, but I still think the game really could have done better with some more meat, less Okabe sighing at everyone.

It was incredible. I've never watched / read anything else like it. The plot managed to do time travel in a novel way with no contradictions and a beautiful, tragic romance thrown in. Every character bar Moeka was incredibly charming and I could personally relate to Okabe and Kurisu very strongly. I actually think there could be canon time travel in the S;G worldline. The worldline is unknown and the implication at the end of the VN is that OkaKuri are the protectors of time, so I could see some story where they have to prevent other groups from discovering it. Stopping SERN, for example; they were still experimenting with time travel on the Gate worldline. It would need a delicate touch though.

The new characters (except Maho) are simply boring and uninspired. The story has many pacing issues, with badly managed timeskips aplenty. The main character is a chore. A lot of exposition for Kagari, and absolutely nobody cares for Kagari, she's that boring. The plot often changes halfway through without any decent explanation. It would be perfect if all the loose ends were to be taken on in the end, but they aren't.

Rare Amadeus appearance that goes nowhere. No air-tight plot. The 'emotional' scenes like Kurisu and Okabe reunion in the alpha timeline falls absolutely flat. A boring MC. Many incoherences in the story, when SG was partly sold on the coherence of its own.

SG0 is worst, mate. It is the objective truth. If you can't see it, that means you probably never appreciated SG to begin with. You probably liked it because it was popular, never asking yourself why it was good.

Everything that was good in SG is worst in SG0. The story, the pacing, the setting, the characters, the emotional scenes. SG0 butchers SG's qualities, and has no qualities on its own.

Far too forced. This scene happens without warning, in the middle of the story, without anything linking it to the main plot. You are expected to shake your surprise for Kurisu's reappearance, care about her, care about Okabe's relation with her, and cry again that she'll disappear (again), all that in five minutes top. Blink or you'll miss it.
