This anime really broke my heart. It had potential to be great. Art, music, animation, everything seemed to check out. I've never been hyped for the "next big anime" since then.

This was such a mismanaged show. It's amazing how much went wrong, especially when you had a fairly interesting concept.

I personally think the main problem was that Shu was kind of a beta faggot (He makes a pair with Haruto from Valvrave) and there was no reason for him to have the power. Like, if he was cooler, or more hot-blooded, or anything besides a wuss, the show would've been crazy fun.

He didn't even have anything to be afraid of! The moment he got a Void, he became a super-soldier with force shields, a super-jump and all kinds of shit. He should've been the biggest-dick OG in existence.

I'd argue Samurai Flamenco was as much (or as little) of one as Code Geass to be honest. I like them both though. They're crazy but they're also mixed with good stuff. Can't say that for GC.
