Lucid dreaming. I'm too afraid to try it out because of those demonic like people that will stare you down, if you're trapped.
>>
>>153006952

>he fells for the lucid dreaming meme
Yeah buddy, alright. I bet you think tulpas exist too.
>>
>>153007014
>demonic like people that will stare you down, if you're trapped

What did he mean by this?
>>
>>153008017
Just google shadow people experiences.

I didn't read that but he's talking about it

>>153008102
it's from sleep paralysis, not lucid dreaming

its medically and historically documented
>>
>>153008235
Can't you get trapped in sleep paralysis when lucid dreaming?
>>
>>153008272
your eyes are open during sleep paralysis

when lucid dreaming, you are asleep
>>
>>153006952
I just fuck 3D.
>>
>>153007353
I can confirm they exist.
>>
>>153007353
with enough autism, anything can be real.
Sounds to me like /a/ meets the quota

>It is often accompanied by terrifying hallucinations to which one is unable to react due to paralysis, and physical experiences (such as strong current running through the upper body). These hallucinations often involve a person or supernatural creature suffocating or terrifying the individual, accompanied by a feeling of pressure on one's chest and difficulty breathing. Another common hallucination type involves intruders (human or supernatural) entering one's room or lurking outside one's window, accompanied by a feeling of dread.
>>
>>153008388
>something hiding nearby
I don't want to experience that.
>>
>>153008388
I only had a lucid dream once, but I got trapped in sleep paralysis so many times it doesn't even scare me anymore.

Oh this is very interesting, I thought it was only me. I did have some experience with that. I was dreaming about looking over some kids playing at a graveyard at night, then I woke up to seeing something pic related (except a bit more transparatent) straddling me. It did scare me a bit being unable to move but then my way to gain courage was tell to myself that a ghost or a demon is intangible and can't harm me and there is no way my favorite heroes would be scared of something so weak. Then I woke up and felt really empowered. That was when I had panic attacks, maybe I should research this and try it in a more methodological manner.
>>
>>153008511
>I thought it was only me.
Doesn't this make it all the more scary?
>>
>>153008547
I think it's the opposite. If more people share the same experience the cause might be external or it might be linked to the human collective unconscious.
>>
>>153008594
Or they are actually gate keepers and exist.
>>
>>153008432
I had the same sleep paralysis dream about 10 times over the course of 10 years and I couldn't explain it because it was not at all like dreaming, I was certain I was "awake"

A black creature would be at the foot of my bed pulling my covers off. I learned that increasing your breathing rate would jerk you out of it. Once I started noticing certain inconsistencies from the moment I was "asleep" and the moment I had motor control again, it became easier to tell that I was in fact not fully conscious.
>>
>>153008637
I saw the black guy once but I didn't get scared because I thought it was my roommate.
>>
>>153008700
That's scary by itself.
>>
>>153008700
mine wasn't really humanoid. Sometimes more dog-like, sometimes like a scarier yoda. Never fully visible.
>>
>>153008511
I forgot to mention that at the moment of waking up I heard a very weird animal noise, like some weird amalgam of a goat and a lion. I thought it was an hallucination induced by panic attacks.
>>
>>153008764
exploding head syndrome
>>
>>153008790
Maybe it could be something like that. Though it was the first and only time it ever happened.
>>
>>153008724
Well he wasn't pulling sheets or suffocating me, he was just walking around the bed.
>>
>>153008991
>he was just walking around the bed.
And that isn't scary?
>>
>>153009047
No, why would it be? Also I was half asleep so my thoughts were fuzzy.
>>
>>153009141
I always lock my room, so I guess it's different for me.
>>
I wonder if regularly engaging in meditation/brain wave altering technology would be helpful in making lucid dreaming a more satisfying experience. I mean during meditation you do sometimes go through mystical or psychic experiences.
>>
anyways you can lucid dream all you want without fear of sleep paralysis. I've never had both in the same night.

all my lucid dreams have been mundane shit like riding in a car going home from the dentist or being able to fly in my house. I don't think my brain knows how to process 2D characters in a 3D space.
>>
>>153007266
Unironically this. My gf was hesitant at first but now she's into it almost as much as me.
>>
>>153009272
I've had two dreams with my waifu, she was 3D though. But I didn't care though, because I felt it was her. There were also two other times where I dreamt with 2D characters and they looked 2D despite the environment being 3D, so I guess it's a matter of chance.
>>
>>153009272
>>153009456
I had a vivid dream about Hibike once. There were Reina, Kumiko, Shuuichi and Taki. I was in a band with them and they were all 2D.
Waking up from that dream felt was like being stabbed in the heart.
>>
>>153009272
>>153009456
It's way too much hard work, especially because 2d is so good that you cum after the first couple thrusts and immediately wake up with a huge mess in your bed.

Killing yourself helps I hear.

>never lucid dreamed
Sorry anon.
I'd train myself if it wasn't such a bother though, not really worth the effort
>>
>>153009679
I take a good 45 minutes when I lay with my waifu, what are you talking about?
>>
>>153006952
you dont
