This episode was pretty meh to be honest.

All focused on that beta kicker and that psycho on the other team, I wanted Sekizan taking people out and we only got it once.

the anime wont cover the actual rugby season,

It wont cover the actual season and no season 2, I dont think a timeskip would be best since it would omit a lot of the other teams introduction or their backstory, this getting 2 cour was a surprise itself to me. Usual buy the manga ending.
