Yeah, finished it all in one day and absolutely loved it. Probably one of my favorite animes. Executed almost all the scenes much better than the manga, great soundtrack, and as you said the rotoscoping really added to the tone and worked well for the story it was telling
Ignore the shitters in these kinds if threads though. Just mangafags mad that the anime didn't have a generic yandere artstyle with their cute girls

i even liked the walking scenes, and the slow pacing. it was all so atmospheric. i am very disappointed with the ending though. expected something catastrophic instead just got snippets from the manga in a 2 minute span

Not after the time skip it's not. Everything post-rape amounts to a big pile of nothing. Just the MC dicking around doing nothing, making a fag of himself in front of a girl at her place of work and somehow this wins her heart so they go back home and the crazy girl is on meds the end.
