Well, is not perfect. It show something interesting but the author ruin it trying to mix in stupid fetishes and a some kind of out of place harem.
The basic idea is good but poorly delivered.
Brynhildir make a better job. The main guy have a reason to be there, and the amnesia plot device is managed much better along with other things. Basically elfen lied v2.00 revised and corrected.
Still i think EL suffer meme hate. People just say they hate it just because. Like telling people that want suggestion about anime to go watch boku no pico.
