Not him. But I found the music performances and their internal battles to be dull and over-dramatic.Especially with the arc about the MC's childhood rivals. That took like 2-3 maybe 4 episodes. So I can imagine how bad it would be if you watched it as the series was airing and all you cared about was the relationship of the main characters.

I haven't finished the second half of the series yet so hopefully it is better and no spoilers please other than the well known fact that she dies.

We've gotten plenty already. I could tell she was going to die as soon as I saw her take meds in that one episode. I didn't care for the characters, and the music had the MC constantly freaking out for an entire episode after already having gotten the resolve to play each and every time and it was boring and tiring. The music was good yes, I loved the look of the show and the color palette, and OP1 in particular was gorgeous, but I didn't care for the show overall.

What about the firefly scene where Kaori asked what Kousei had in his heart when performing and he responded with "I had you" and then the dramatic music that was playing rose. I'm serious when I say it was the best pseudo-confession ever.

The only good scene was the one where the loli and Kousei played Tchaikovsky's Waltz from Sleeping Beauty.
