I want to see everyone's answer. Which is better, and why? And no, I'm not just talking about the first season, I'm talking all seasons.
Digimon is always going to be a better anime franchise than Pokemon.
Also go back to your containment board.
Tamers alone is better then anything the Pokemon anime has done.
In terms of anime Digimon is better.

I just wish Digimon's designs didn't look like shit

Digimon will always be better written than Pokémon, no contest.
Only two seasons of Pokemon have ever been decent, and they're still incredibly filler heavy in comparison to Digimon. Personally though, I'd rather rewatch DP or XY (while skipping excessive filler) than rewatch any of the Digimon seasons.

Digimon shows are better than pokemon ones.
Seeing as Ash just lost a legitimate and clean pokemon battle with team rocket, I'm going to say Digimon wins. Pokemon is completely dead to me.

Digimon
>Monster pals evolve due to emotial catharsis of their human partners
>Characters evolve and face their errors to try to become better people
>They fight because the stakes are the highest, some mons die
>Uses a mix of J-pop and classical themes on its soundtrack (in not cucked countries at least)
Pokemon
>Monsters evolve after punching other monster for years or for retardo reasons
>Character trapped in a groundhog day but does not care
>He barely grows as a person, his only objective in life is wandering from place to place, he is as far from becoming a champion as he was on the first day
>They fight to win useless medals
>People only remembers the first opening and a couple of jingles
Everyone I known that prefers Pokemon over Digimon has proved to have worse taste. I know it's anecdotal evidence, but the pool of anecdotes is kinda large
Digimon actually has characters.
Even appmon is way better then any pokemon season

Digimon. Season 1 of Digimon had better monsters than season 1 of Pokemon. Also MC of any Digimon season > MC of Pokemon. Girls are better in Digimon than Pokemon.
>/a/ is a Digimon board
I am gladly surprised
