That said, the original movie, SAC and even Arise still felt like GITS. No matter how far removed they seemed from the manga there was still a lot of "Shirow-ness" in there. Hence it still feels like GITS.

When i look at for example the new Blade Runner:2049 trailer. From the look, the atmosphere, the sound cues, the music , that is Blade Runner, in every way shape and form. I can never confuse it for anything else.
