What's refreshing about a garbage soap opera? The softcore fapbait is refreshing I guess, sure.

It's a somewhat realistic portrayal of a completely unrealistc kind of relationship at best.

It feels more realistic than your average shonen harem romcom, but that's hardly an achievement.

I'm a fan of romcoms and drama so I thought I'd give it a try due to the good art and production value.
2 episodes in, you have a literal slut that lets a guy she has no romantic feelings for grab her by the pussy and tongue her, whilst pretending to be pure and innocent.
A dillusional chad that rationalizes whilst taking advantage of the damaged goods cumdumpster. If he was not pretentious I'd have no issues whatsoever. It'd be a series about how chads take advantage of broken stacies and that would be that.
And finally you have a dyke jumping the damaged goods FMC and checking for cavities, whilst the latter just sits back and takes it.
So there you have it, the female protag readily does everything short of fuck a guy she has no feelings for, pretends she is his girlfriend and cuntblocks a girl that genuinely likes him, has tongue wars with her female friend at their first sleepover and has the audacity to lecture that other stacy that fucks two guys and cant choose.
Frankly I'm sad, such good artstyle and cinematography wasted.
Before any of you autists jump on the chance, no, that's not how real relationships work and that's not how real world works. Deifying this bahavior, mental illness rather, and legitimizing it shouldn't be praised. People who approach and deal with their romantic problems like that are trash and they should be made aware. I'm almost expecting this garbage to be a huge hit, exactly because it's degenerate and it's the current year afterall.

The only thing refreshing about this tripe is the shower I have to take after it! I feel disgusting and dirty just watching these characters interact with each other.

Though I do admit, having every single character be such a horrible waste of skin for being so morally exempt, and still have the anime being somewhat entertaining is quite refreshing in a way. I just hope none of them get a happy ending, they don't deserve the purity and beauty that is true love.

However, It will be interesting to see where they all end up I suppose, not one of the shows you'd really want to discuss with /a/ in depth, as you'll eventually get people sympathising with the characters and trying to go into some in-depth psychological explanation of why they aren't actually horrible people. It's more of a show where you just hang shit on the characters for being so fucking disgusting, and all join together in laughing at them.

Regular romance is going to shine brilliantly after this though might I say, my favourite genre just keeps getting better I tell you, this is just a contrast piece, and a good one at that.
