The anime addaptation was going to be shit. Everybody knew that.

The manga has a unique and complex artstyle (animation companies hate that). The always present borderline H scenes can't be shown on TV. And the action scenes are so good and dynamic that a high budget will be required to make a proper animation.

I just hope the anime increases manga's popularity. It's a really good manga and it's underrated as fuck.

Preview barely showed anything, and previews don't really mean much anyway. People are going to be disappointed on /a/ no matter what. The manga has just built up too many expectations, and people mostly just look at the current art and not the 9 years worth of evolution that lead to it. There's also no way it can deliver on the lewdness without being implicit, using clever blocking or just generic light beams and steam. Maybe a lewd OVA or two after the TV anime has run its course.

The character designs look fine and faithful to the manga. Eight seconds of action aren't representative of even a single scene, let alone an episode or an entire season. If your contention is that if it doesn't blow you away then it's a complete failure, I probably don't have any sort of response that would satisfy you.

The TV anime won't deliver on the lewdness the way some readers want, because it just can't. For some people that will be a dealbreaker. It might deliver a satisfying experience in other aspects and I am open to that possibility. I don't think that preview is enough to pass judgment on the entire show.
