I'm a bit gun shy about emailing more esoteric questions to amiami's support after seeing that guy's order got canceled when he emailed them to praise them or whatever.

Also, the image you get to see is the low res thumbnail of what you are getting, you are not even sure how large is the one used for the print unless you custom made one in which case the materials are even worse and plenty of times they come out miss-aligned.

I've got their Angewomon which I think is really nice, as well as their Shinrabansho figures, and a couple of the Dragon Ball and Gundam Girls figures, all very nice.

Also, the paint on megahouse figures is not impressive, the details are lacking and they seem to be one of the few stuck with old paints instead of the super smooth ones used by plenty others nowadays.

Price and size. Most of those big 'scene' scales bin for a bit before jumping back up.

Compare to a series like Strike Witches that bin, but keeps getting consistent releases because it has a small, dedicated fan base, these have a larger fan base that just buys more slowly because they need more space or money. It's not like Strike Witches that bin because everyone that want them bought them already, the bigger scales bin because people that wanted them couldn't get them at release - but that doesn't mean they won't get them eventually.

That's the closest I can get for the 2 detolfs, the wooden base juts out and with 2 of them together it creates that gap, its a lot less noticeable in person though. They're elevated because they're a bit below eye level when standing in front of the detolfs. I try to compose them so that they get good light exposure and look right from a normal viewer's position. Some of my figures are actually placed using tilted risers for that effect.

If that happens, then you will have to wait and see what kind trade agreement between the US and Japan come to. I'm actually looking at this from the total opposite perspective, my daily work is automation oriented, literally replacing workers with machines except this isn't completely true, automation has reached a point when you are actually looking to make the process simpler for the operator to understand and to avoid any other sort of interaction from me, since actual changes on the machinery or program is way more expensive than good old " hire another worker".

If you turn to full automation you have to hire trained personnel to actually deal with the problems related to the automation system, which is more expensive than hiring more wageslaves.
