New manga, plot's pretty generic but the art is pretty.

the only other page I can think of thats kinda like this is that tsugomo one, even though its on my backlog. I think one of (the author of spirit circle and biscuit hammer) has one in one of his manga, don;t knwo which though. its a very nice spread. too bad they usuually end up looking like shit in the actual book

I don't even know why this is so rare in manga, you should make the reader "starve" for the next chapter not make it vomit after feeding too many information. Hell, this first chapter could've been a introduction to character only but instead we've got this mess that even the fact that MC can talk to animals get easily moved in the background.
This is a weird complaint. You want the series to drag ass for multiple chapters before it finally gets to the point of what the main story is supposed to be about? First chapter has to hook people, not bore them to death, which is why we usually get an origin story
