I'm usually a yurifag but I've never got the impression that Utena was into women.

Both guitars and cars can have sexual connotations in determinate contexts, but they primarily are symbols of what teenagers identify adulthood with, especially the case with driving is self explanatory.
And no Utena isn't about Jesus, sacrifice isn't exclusively a christian concept.

I don't think you can take any of the symbolism in any Ikuhara work at face value. There's more Gnostic references in Utenathan there is typical Christian imagery, but the argument for the show being "about" Gnosticism would be terribly weak. He uses the symbols to evoke certain ideas, but the story is still its own, not a simple allegory.
